  1. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, terrific crowd in St. Augustine. But you are exactly right, there was just a miscue on the final bit of Misunderstood.
  2. I ran into them at like 2 AM at this cheese steak place in St. Augustine. I think they are a very talented band, but I'm not sure they were a great fit as an opener for Wilco. Very nice people though, and a good band nonetheless.
  3. Yeah, HMD is one of the 2-4 songs they play basically every show. Jesus is another one. Though there is something quite funny to me about how the band can be so not into a song (in terms of body language) and still fart out an amazing sounding rendition.
  4. Have to say the encore version of "Misunderstood" is probably one of my favorite parts of the current live show. Especially when the whole crowd sings along, didn't happen as much in St. Augustine, but was still excellent to hear. I was disappointed when it wasn't played at the Sunfest show. But I think that's going to be the standard final song for the full 30 song setlists this summer, Jeff has it down to a science now, when he gets the final "Nothing at all" out and waves goodbye.
  5. Yeah, I think it may be my favorite Wilco song, but so hard to choose just one. They definitely slightly increased the frequency of it this tour for the Alpha Mike Foxtrot boxset, but was neat to have that and Cars Can't Escape. Again, that's the type of songs you would have only heard at Solid Sound (at least during the same show) as I remember during 2010. I really can't remember if I knew Magazine befroe Solid Sound 2010, but I vaguely recall being excited when they started playing it. It's in i am trying to break your heart, so I think I knew it from there.
  6. That would be interesting. Coincidentally I am listening to that right now from the final UT show (the one Jeff mentioned at the show) - has Wilco ever done it? I know way back in the early days they would have Jeff do a solo set during some shows and play UT stuff, but I don't know if the band ever did Gun.
  7. Do you mean you are a convert from Kamera to Camera? Or just the song in general? I think I prefer Camera to Kamera (unreleased version to released version, in case it wasn't clear.) Though to an extent they are different songs so I appreciate them both. Definitely love Camera at live shows. Dark Neon was the only song I didn't know, I was in shock because this doesn't usually happen at Wilco shows, luckily Mr. Heartbreak was there so I could ask him. And "Monday" has been great these past FL shows. The band is really in top form, should be a great summer tour.
  8. Yeah, agreed Mr. Heartbreak. I heard Magazine at Solid Sound in 2010, figured that was it. Now we've heard it twice in a week. And as we discussed, I was really hoping they would play We've Been Had again. Nice meeting you, btw.
  9. So, Wilco just told me on Twitter that I am on the list for a free ticket with a plus one (I made a joke about selling platelets to buy tickets, but I wasn't planning on going since I saw them in Tally and West Palm and am 4 hrs away) - soooo guess I am driving to St. Augustine in an hour.
  10. Missed Orlando and not going to St. Augustine, but Tally and Sunfest shows were excellent (I prefer Tally becaues it was strictly Wilco show and I was like 20 ft away the whole time, none of this VIP area nonsense like at Sunfest but my homeland of South FL loves to make everything into a matter of who paid more and who didn't) - so I imagine Orlando was amazing too as will be St. Augustine. Gutted I have to wait another two months until Solid Sound but I suppose it will be worth it. Sunfest crowd was more into it than I expected, but I think Tallahassee show was still more lively, plus I lik
  11. Best Wilco show I have been to so far. I was in that dancing pit up front from Airline until the end, what an experience to be that close for a show. Great venue too.
  12. Yeah, I heard that a few weeks ago. BUT I bought a lawn ticket the day they announced the show. Wilco tix are cheap, so, not a huge deal. It's really cool though since I can bring plenty of friends who otherwise may not have paid. And/or a nice girl to slowdance to Jesus, Etc. with. I was driving by the venue yesterday since I haven't been, and I was in the area. It's a very nice park. Must be very new. The ampitheatre itself didn't seem that big (it's probably the same size as Cruzan Ampitheatre in Palm Beach, if you're familiar with that, but maybe not) but it seems like a nice little venu
  13. Same here guys. I'm about 30 minutes from Sunfest (10 minutes from Cruzan, so it was cool when they were there) - but I go to FSU so I will be in Tally for their Tally show, and like five minutes away. Depending on my finals schedule, I would like to see them at Sunfest too. But I am going to Solid Sound this year as well so, I can live with only two shows. Ideally I'd see all their FL dates.
  14. Mr. Heartbreak, Weir sang back up for most of Ripple and then took over for the last or second to last verse. I took down the setlist but you guys have already posted it, so I'll just give a short review. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how big the turnout was for this concert, but I suppose there were 3 relatively popular acts (plus Bob Weir, who I think was actually a huge draw for the concert based on how many baby boomers in Dead t-shirts I saw, but many of them seemed to like Wilco too, or MMJ, and obviously Bobby D as well) and I was misinformed by the Miami Beach concert from
  15. Anyone else going to this concert? I always get so pumped when Wilco come to SoFla, and the fact that Bob Dylan is playing too is perfect. Last year I had to drive to Miami Beach to see the boys, this year they're coming to my backyard!
  16. Does anyone have/know where I can find chords to any Bill Fay songs? Google has been relatively fruitless, with one or two exceptions. It seems there just aren't any transcriptions out there.
  17. Ok so, based on this video of Jeff on that Canadian show, I have transcribed the lyrics and tried to figure out the chords. Fair warning, this is my first attempt at doing this. Capo 4 The verse chords are: C, F, G7 (that I'm somewhat sure of) Chorus: F, Am, Dm, G7 (or maybe C) Lyrics: (each line starts again at C) I would throw myself underneath the wheels of any train of thought Running off the rails I’ll sail you through the waves of your brain If I could bring a light to shine upon the dark and disobey t he night so young but I still say to old clichés Chorus 1: Oh I can only dream o
  18. That seems unlikey, Jeff's a team player. Except for guys named Jay. He hates guys named Jay.
  19. Hey guys, Does anyone have a tab of Walken as Jeff plays it solo? is video of him playing it the other night in Montreal, that's the version I'm looking for. Thanks.
  20. Ah! I always get so jealous when I miss a great show. I wish the guys and/or Jeff would just come down to Florida. Sigh. But the setlist sounds great, I'm excited to hear the new song(s).
  21. Hey guys, my friend just showed me this video and I'm really curious (as is she) as to what it's from. The interview from the beginning makes me think of a documentary obviously, but I'm 100% sure there isn't some newish Wilco documentary I haven't seen //http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9AiQlKtYnk
  22. I was at the Dylan show the night before in Davie, the venue (Arena at Nova State) was awful, the acoustics were terrible and the sound was muffled. I'd like to say that Bob and his Band put on a great show but I couldn't tell.
  23. What are the chords for the version Jeff plays live?
  24. I was pretty close to you I think, I was basically on the snake, if by snake you mean the black thing covering the wires, I was about 25-30 feet ahead of the main soundboard though.
