  1. Took some screenshots of the Art of Almost scene at the end (with special cameo from Josh Goldberg, from a different part of the film) http://imgur.com/a/LTVG7#0
  2. This will be a tough one Uncle Tupelo Looking For a Way Out We've Been Had That Year New Madrid Chickamauga
  3. Oh one cool note, during the scenes where they have just like shots of the festival etc, they have instrumental tracks of Wilco songs. Guessing they had Jeff or someone playing it on acoustic, it's just an acoustic guitar playing the riffs of various Wilco songs.
  4. Watching it now (got one window open with that playing, and another window with work) - good amount of Wilco, but also lots of other performers and even just people from North Adams or at SS. Tons of performance footage from all the performing bands, for better and for worse. It's mildly interesting.
  5. In two years : ( I'm wildly optimistic that there may be an announcement at Solid Sound that could tide us over, Wilco wise, for the time being. AKA a new album, but this is only based off of an interview Jeff gave to the LA Times a few months ago saying there were like 36 songs ready for a new album. Well, that and the fact that they announced the Whole Love at SS 2011
  6. There's a few on your list that could easily be on mine.
  7. Guess I will give it a go. In no particular order (but in a general order from most to less most) Wilco Bob Dylan The Band Johnny Cash Kanye West The Beatles Grateful Dead Frank Zappa Dinosaur Jr Pavement Beck Willie Nelson The Replacements Hank Williams (the first, don't care for the kids) Phil Ochs Louis Armstrong Charlie Parker Townes Van Zandt Silver Jews The Beach Boys Daniel Johnston Minor Threat Woody Guthrie Nas The Velvet Underground Lou Reed Uncle Tupelo Warren Zevon My Morning Jacket Son Volt
  8. Awesome! I was looking at some of your other photos from that SOlid Sound, you're a great photographer!
  9. This was it! I was at that show too, which is why I was listenin to it. Now I feel silly for not remembering which one, but then I listen to lots of Wilco shows.
  10. Daniel Johnston True Love Will Find You in the End Deviltown Mountain Top Man Obsessed My Life is Starting Over
  11. Do they have good craft beers at Solid Sound? I assume they may since it's, y'know, kind of artsy and appreciative of these things (well the festival goers) - though they may just have the usual big brand "craft beers" you see at venues. I saw Beck at Mass MoCa last summer, can't for the life of me remember the beer selection though I drank some. Probably was Blue Moon or something.
  12. I'll almost certainly be wearing a Daniel Johnston t-shirt one of the days. Probably not a Wilco t-shirt, you're not supposed to wear shirts of the band who you are going to see, they say. Though sometimes I can't help it with Wilco. Or I'll be wearing that Sun Records t-shirt they sell at WalMart that everyone has at concerts. Just look for a youth with glasses and a Bob Dylan circa New Morning goatee/beard. (Yes that is also my username but I made this account long before I had facial hair)
  13. Totally unrelated, but I was listening to a Wilco show yesterday (or maybe Jeff solo? No, it was a Wilco show) and Jeff mentions a fan from Brazil complementing Nels, was it you? I wish I could remember which show (I could figure it out though, by going through my browser history, maybe.)
  14. It's a real tough marketplace for space up close out there at some shows (certainly SS), so I usually have to just hold it.
  15. Word on the street (the Dylan fan site internet street) is that BOTT outtakes are the next edition of the Bootleg series. I'd love to get Infidels outtakes too, that's my favorite Dylan '80s record, and there's some stuff from those sessions I have been DYING to hear.
  16. That's why I consider it his best album - though I also have to say there isn't one Dylan album that is better than the others. There's like five (at least) that are all tied for me. BOTT is also awesome because the "alternate" versions of the songs that Dylan didn't pick for the final version are still stellar. Some of those songs he never really finished, like Simple Twist of Fate.
  17. I'd say go to the front, if you can. Though it does cost a good bit of ear health.

  19. Interesting perspectives from y'all. I'm only 21 (I may be the youngest member of the board, though I make an active effort to spread the gospel of Wilco to other youths) so I'm still in the "discovery" phase, sort of. Also interesting how many of you are indifferent to Spotify. I'm not crazy about compressed music files in general, but I use Spotify constantly (even pay for Premium) since it's the most convenient way of listening to all my music. Actually, I will make a Spotify playlist at leats once a week for my daily listening, usually a few times a week as the playlists tend to get played
  20. You missed a great show in Tally, sadly. I couldn't believe they have only come to Tally twice, ever (at least according to Wilcobase) - especially after the last show as the fans (and not really the students, there were plenty of us there since the concert was free to students, but I was mostly with adult Wilco fans up front in the 'pit') were SO SO SO into it and hungry for Wilco. Incidentally I was watching a documentary about the recent Penn St...issues, and they play "Country Disappeared" in the beginning.
  21. Just got my digial ticket e-mail. ..."if you wanna ride this train, have your ticket in your hand"
