  1. One tip, though it's not perfect: go to the user page of the account answering questions, then you can just see which q's they answered - but even this is sort of a pain to wade through.
  2. Funny, my father mentioned that movie to me the other night. Really a great flick, though I must confess I knew the Wilco album before I knew the movie.
  3. Yep, guessing it will either be made public later, or it's gone.
  4. It's been amusing to watch RS fade into complete musical obscurity. What are they going to do in 20 years when all the acts they cover have passed away? Start covering bands from the '80s?
  5. What's the recipe? FWIW, the normal A.M. has one of my favorite liner notes from the entire discography, because of the Brian Henneman "essay" (a bit short for an essay, though)
  6. Two David T's - but not this David T. I figure I've got no chance now, no way they draw a third David T.
  7. I almost chose that, or something like "Touchdown Nonbelievers" but they have a character limit for each field, so I'm not sure if it will work. But that lyric brings up a question we may want to ponder - should we count TDs in our scoring if Jeff doesn't believe in them?
  8. He's probably like me, he writes something like a blogpost and then doesn't proofread it. Or edit it for clarity.
  9. Just joined. I'm "StatueofLiberty Play"
  10. St. Genevive can hold up the water, but saints don't bother, with a boring live show. BTW at some '90s solo show Jeff sings the first line of that song as a joke, think it's '98 or '97. Can't for the life of me remember the date.
  11. Yeah, if I recall we discussed him for a bit at SS before Mac DeMarco and you told me he's not so good live. Guess you won't be heading east to Winter Haven! Nevermind then. 100 bucks is entirely too much money for a Jay Farrar solo show, or is that for the whole Gram Parsons fest thing? Almost as much as Solid Sound tix costs.
  12. In terms of effectiveness, even if I may not like all of his policies, our current President has gotten A LOT done, period. Now depending on your views this is either a good or bad thing, but he has passed a large amount of legislation (or rather, he has passed very influential pieces of legislation i.e. ACA) for one presidency. I remember reading in like 2011 that his first term had been as "efficient" in terms of creating/changing policies as LBJ in the late '60s.
  13. Yes, great FB group, it's basically VC, but on Facebook. And not too big, either, I joined a Bob Dylan fan Facebook group with like 8000 people, had to leave because the notifications were too much.
  14. Jay Farrar is also playing in Winter Haven, FL at the Gram Parsons festival in October. I might go to that, bit of a drive, but I've never seen Jay. Though after going through this thread and seeing everyone say he's bad live, maybe not. To be honest was probably just going to get drunk and shout out obnoxious requests for Uncle Tupelo songs, probably all Jeff ones too.
  15. Some of the more electric songs on SW are tricky vocally - not even considering the clever links between different lyrics that are brilliant but make them harder to remember - on the record he's singing pretty low, but and the vocal mix is low, but it fits in well with everything. I was sort of disappointed n the SW portion of the show from Outside Lands - though the rest was good (and as JT mentioned at this show, the crowd was pretty meh - Wilco feed off the crowd, I mean, worst case they shit out a great concert, but when the fans are into it too they really step up their game, as we all h
  16. I saw a few (young) people dancing and enjoying, and some head bobbing up close. But aside from that, yeah. Though we only saw the people on the webcast.
  17. You're great, and the taper is great. Also Wilco are great.
  18. I have an Android, but I was able to buy an app to unzip files, did it for Star Wars. Maybe look in the App Store for an extractor app?
  19. "I don't recoooooooooggnizeeee youuuuuuuu....anymore"
  20. The following tab is lifted off of Ultimate Guitar - seems to be more proper than my interpretation, though I have yet to try it out. http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/w/wilco/random_name_generator_tab.htm I was right about the chords (you were right about the stars) - seems that the riff isn't up on the 7th fret though. In the video from the Pitchfork show, Nels seems to be playing all around the fretboard, so just move the riff from that tab up a few octaves along the neck, I guess. For the lead, that is. This tab is also missing the "sonic breakdown" part of hte song that they do durin
