  1. I tend bar in a small restaurant in Providence and the owner put Laquinitas WTF on the menu only because I'm a total Wilco Freak. Every time a server orders it I make them interrogate the guests about the level of love they have for Wilco. And in the middle of a busy evening I love seeing a ticket come up that says Wilco. It's the little things...
  2. Hi Anyone have 1 or 2 tix for the Central Park show on thursday 9/22 that they'd like to sell? Just found a place to stay and would love to come down for the show Thanks deb

  4. Thanks for posting your photo links. Great Pics. Boy did I miss a lot of activities. Next year it will be less beer and more running around and hopefully less rain.
  5. I thought about only shooting wilco shirts but I liked the idea of seeing what other bands Wilco fans were carrying around with them. Liked what people had in their hands and how they presented themselves to the camera as well. A very accommodating group of fans. Looking forward to doing it next year with a few different categories. Thanks for sharing the link Charles-great shots
  6. Looking forward to meeting some Boston VCR's. Coming up from Providence and meeting a few people but have not made plans yet. Would love to be included thanks deb
  7. In the Pit at the Wang baby
  8. I use the lumix LX5 which is made by panasonic. It's really a wonderful point and shoot camera. Here's a great website to check on reviews of cameras www.dpreview.com
  9. Just called the Wang Center to see when tickets go on sale and they didn't even have the show listed yet. I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Didn't think I was going to be able to see them again until after the first of the year. Very Excited!!
  10. Loved seeing other musicians represented on the t-shirts of those attending SSF. Will do again next year but with my iphone instead. No more polaroid film left. Hope to get a much larger number of t-shirts for 2012. I didn't get the idea until my 3rd beer on day 2 so I was a little late in starting the project.
  11. I used the last of my polaroid film to document t-shirts from the Solid Sound Festival this weekend Here's the link to the series http://gallery.me.com/dmhickey#100600

  16. Sorry to hear about everything. Hope you can sell some campsites and tickets and make it work for you. I just traveled solo for that last mini tour and had a great time with fans I had never met before. Good luck and have a great time. Reclaim Wilco
  17. I am in the middle of this mini tour through the south and have been meeting some lovely folks along the way. I didn't get my act together in time to do blogspot or another more professional blog, instead it is attached to my website. If you are interested in seeing any of my photos from my trip you can see them here www.debhickey.com/themakingofawilcofan Thanks Houston for the best energy of the tour.
  18. Thanks Houston for a great show. That was one of the best Wilco shows I've seen yet. Best on this mini tour. Crowd was lively and mostly standing which added to the energy. Lots of sing-a-longs and band led clapping with Jeff dancing away. Have been loving Hoodoo Voodoo with the mustache-cowbell playing Wilco guy (don't know his name) It leaves me walking away with the biggest grin on my face. Thank you for another great night. See you in Denton.
  19. Thanks Montgomery Great energy from the crowd, lovely theatre, not too many drunk people Now it's on to Mobile Was looking for a new song too, hopefully in the next 5 shows.
  20. Yes I'd love to do a portrait of the back of Paul, standing in a crowd, jotting down songs. I know many VCers have met him but I'd like to highlight his anonymity. I'm assuming he almost always has a better view than most of us so it would make sense to see the back of him. And then record some of his stories. Maybe if this week goes smoothly that portrait could be done at SSF2 if Paul would like to participate. We'll see what happens
  21. The Making of a Wilco Fan Project 2011 Road Trip So here starts the journey, one week from today. I will be flying into Montgomery Alabama on Monday May 2nd and following Wilco for their 6 shows. I started a blog/website called The Making of a Wilco Fan which you can find here www.debhickey.com (just click on the picture of Jeff.) The website talks about my first fan experience and why I want to document the fans of Wilco. I have some expectations as to what I want for this mini documentary but honestly I don’t know what will come out of this road trip besides seeing 6 great shows. I
  22. Your picture goes great with the green apple soda.
  23. That would be super cool if they were at SSF2 this year, but I'm guessing that isn't going to happen. If I see you there maybe I'll just hand some out.
  24. Just received my Jones Soda bottles on Weds with my winning Wilco photo on it. Had totally forgotten about it.
  25. Thanks for sharing. Going to see The Low Anthem in Boston in a few weeks. They're opening for Iron and Wine which has become a new favorite of mine. Looking forward to a great show
