I'm very much anticipating the Bret Easton Ellis adaptation "The Informers" with Winona Ryder, Billy Bob Thorton, Mickey Rourke and Kim Bassinger. There is no release date set yet but it's scheduled to come out sometime this Summer (or Fall)!

Hello to all! So...how was everyone's day?
-
Just changed the thread name for tomorrow... see ya all then!
-
What the hell is going on here?
-
Well actually, he toured with his album "Real Gone" in 2004, but he only played Seattle and I think another city, which I can't think of at the moment. Then before that he toured for "Mule Variations" in 1999 to 2000. And of course his last tour two years ago was for "Orphans."
-
Yep, I thought the same thing as well!
-
Here's a youtube video of the band playing their title track to their new album, "Fate." I must say, I cannot wait until this album comes out! I really, really like this song!

Second Tom Waits announcement from Tom's manager:
-
Yep, that's my problem as well! If I had a spare...say $300 for gas, hotel and ticket expenses I would drive 8hrs from Virginia Beach to the Knoxville, TN show! Damn! I would give anything to be able to see this guy live. I've waited so long and feel if I don't see him on this tour- I'll never see him...
-
I love this poster! And even though I won't be able to see Tom on this tour, I still want the poster on my wall!

The only show I could maybe get to would be from Norfolk, Va to Knoxville, TN which driving is 527 miles and would take 8 hours 21 mins to get there. Airfare is waaayyy too expensive for me to afford. My mom is a travel agent and I had her looking the prices up for me this morning. Nothing was below $300 for any of the shows + the ticket itself+ hotel costs. That I just simply cannot afford....Damn! Oh well, someday I will see get to see Mr. Waits, someday. Not sure yet. However, I'm sure we'll hear the news soon. I have heard that David Alvin was rumored to be playing...

You can still watch it. Just go to TomWaits.com.

Damn! Nothing even close to me! Looks like another tour will pass by without getting the chance see this man!
-
Hey, you never know, he might show up there! I know for a fact he is not coming to Virginia. So, my chances of seeing him rely on his coming to D.C. which is 3 hrs away. Other than that I may be able to see him if he decides to come to Philadelphia or New York. I grew up close to both cities and I still have all my family living close by between them both! I got to see Wilco once back in 2004. I saw Bob Dylan last year... Tom Waits is the only one of must sees to see live! I must see this man before he or I leaves this earth!

Bump... Just a reminder to tune into the Tom Waits press conference tomorrow at 9am EST!!! I can't wait to hear the news!!!
-
I wonder if this is where Waits' inspiration for the tour came from! It does seem very Tom Waits esque!!
-
The press conference begins Monday at 9 am EST not 6 am as stated in my first post! BTW... Who else loves that the tour is called "Glitter and Doom?" I hope this also means a new album coming soon too! Stuart did say this will be one of several announcements coming in the next week!!!
