  1. Woah, I was sure Magic had that wrapped up with 1 sec to go. Either way they are proving to be a tough team. I'm sure Cavs fans are stoked about the game saving shot but blowing two huge leads isn't a good sign for the Cavs. However the games have been amazing and completely unpredicatable. B-Ball hasn't been this exciting in a long, long time.
  2. So far Billups and Denver's bigs have been the difference IMO.
  3. It was freakin' awesome when Billups bounced the ball off of Kobe's back on the inbound and layed it in. Maybe someone should whine about how he was caught snoozing .
  4. One thing is for sure it's anything can happen time. So far all of the conf final games have been very unpredictable, though I'm guessing the Cavs win big tonight.
  5. Hmm, how different would the West finals be if Denver hadn't squandered game one. Anyone still think it's LA in 5-6? Should be interesting in Denver, the Nugs are tough there.
  6. It's the conf finals and they are exposed IMO. They could likely still win this series but their faults are showing. Fact is the east is weak and they coasted through teams that weren't all that great. IMO the real "finals" are LA and Denver, the team that wins that will stomp the east.
  7. Ah yes, that is a skweetis comparision.
  8. Not impressed with the Cavs, either LA or Denver would have shredded them, even with James putting in 50. If that is all they have they are toast in the finals.
  9. -My friggin' ancient 900mhz wireless phones won't allow me to not explode +when the phones work loud is axesome, especially during Deeper Down and I'll fight
  10. Oh no doubt every game won't be the same, poor choice of words on my part. However that was far from Denver's best playing in the playoffs and I would expect at least that level of play from them or better. Typically Chris Anderson and the guards coming off the bench have better games, Denver usually gets 10-15 points per game out of their bit part players every game. It will be interesting to see what happens Thu.
  11. Nah, missed free throws and blowing a 7 point lead in the 4th did the Nuggets in. The Lakers should feel lucky they got the W, if every game after is played that way they are in for a battle.
  12. The Lakers didn't win game 1 the Nugs lost it. Sure a W is a W but they can't feel good about that.
  13. I'm not worried. I was elbowing high fiving 2nd semester sophomore douch bags recently weaned off of Appetite For Destruction out of my space at shows before that shit even started. As far as Wilco goes the new record is more of the same, this band was never the avant garde spokesband the Wilco-come-lately's on the scene post YHF think they were. Wilco sounding like Wilco has been the trend since 95 son.
  14. The leak of the album saved my week, and probably more.
  15. Not to mention the "experimental" songs on those two albums only make up about 3/4 of either so it's more like 1.5 "experimental" albums. The irony is it wasn't even fully embraced by the Wilco-ites at the time, the BIG gripe here when AGIB leaked was 'omg what did they do to Kidsmoke, they ruined a perfectly good loping 70's style rocker'.
  16. Your concern is about 7-8 yrs too late.
  17. Is this a bad thing? Personally I dig Slowhand and EC is far and away my fave artist ever.
  18. No doubt we all feel confined by having to use the same 12 notes but that doesn't mean everything sounds the same unintentionally at some point. However if that's the reasoning for the so called similarity of MSL and YNK it's fair to say one bar of a descending slide lick shouldn't be considered the unique musical property of Eric Clapton, George, or who ever played it on the MSL, no matter how familiar it sounds. As for the rest of YNK I can't hear it, maybe it's close to the same tempo and the pendulum strumming of the backing acoustic is somewhat similar but I don't think either is unique t
  19. Sweet, fingers crossed for a repeat.
  20. RHD would be awesome but I can't see pairing them up with Wilco. If a local blues-rock based opener is a possibility I nominate Michael Hornbuckle, that boy can play some wicked guitar.
  21. It wasn't but that was the claim from some seconds after hearing Nel's solo on Either Way. Each post YHF album has suffered a fair share of inaccurate criticism from the armchair critic crowd. I think the album that took the worst beating was AGIB.
  22. So it's pop as the negative descriptor this time eh? Last go 'round it was smooth jazz. Some people are never happy. Wilco could make an album more abrasive than Metal Machine Music with Jeff screeching Yoko Onoisms over it and the Glenn Branca-ites would complain. This stuff happens with each new Wilco release since YHF and the YHF desciples are more predictable than ever this time. Pretty soon someone is going to claim this really isn't the new album we're hearing but the demos.
