  1. Now that I think about it I first noticed it at the DBT three night run in Boulder 12/29-12/31/05. At the start of the 2nd nights show Jason appeared to be irritated by Patterson's apparent drunkeness. He really didn't seem to be into the show but it also seemed like he was distant. I don't mean to imply Jason and Patterson had some issues because I don't know, just that Jason and Patterson didn't click onstage the last times I saw DBT.
  2. There's other cool "rare" songs on 89/93 Anthology that make it worth the $15 to buy.
  3. I'm not surprised Jason is no longer in the DBT. Actually I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. The last time I saw DBT the tension between Jason and Patterson onstage was noticeable and that was several months ago. Jason seemed like an outsider.
  4. It's on the UT 89/93 Anthology disc with some other cool stuff, buy it.
  5. Is that supposed to validate your opinion?
  6. Agreed, I don't think he has snorted any drugs in a long time. From what I've read Keith has steered clear of harder stuff since he kicked H.
  7. Clapton is overrated, please, that's crazy talk and petty backlash against his pop career. His playing on the Mayall\Beano album alone is enough that he should never be considered overrated. His playing and tone on that album was responsible for jump starting the modern era of rock guitar playing.
  8. It has to be a bit. How can you criticize Jeff's lyrics and cop to ending a love affair with Alabama at the same time. Dixieland Delight anyone?
  9. There was a rumor late in 2006 that Blind Faith would be doing some shows, well 3/4's of BF anyway, Ric Grech died in 1990. It was supposed to happen. Given the tendency people have had to sit in at previous Crossroads Fests I wouldn't doubt if those two do a BF song. I wish I could go, reports from the recent Clapton tour said the shows were great. EC always puts on a good show. Some will call him lazy for taking one long solo for the entire show, I say he has class to let others in his band get some of the spotlight. From what I've read he's been very gracious to Derek and Doyle on the la
  10. Sweet, I just pre-ordered the CD\DVD\shirt package.
  11. Anybody mention SRV's Texas Flood yet? That album was huge for the guitar playing community.

  13. They can have my money for the pre-order now .
  14. I'd like to see it on a Wilco album but since Jay did his thing with it I'm sure that's a deal killer.
  15. I don't doubt they have stuff in the can and are still working on new stuff, that's what Wilco has been doing since 1995, working. I don't think there is some conspiracy with SBS, that it is the mellow companion album to some rougher more sonically textured follow up. These rumors are akin to the AGIB leak being the session demos. It's fun to speculate but Wilco has never really been all that cloak and dagger. Each album has a few twists but it always sounds like Wilco, IMO they are one of the most even bands ever. If you look back no one album adheres to a specifc style or genre. With their t
  16. I agree, stuff that was originally recorded using analog gear typically does not sound as good as it originally did no matter how it gets remastered and tweaked. But I think that is a different argument. To my ears stuff that starts digital can and does sound good when recorded using the right tools. However digital recording usually benefits the home recorder the most, you can do more and typically get better results with digital purely because the gear is so much cheaper, versatile and easy to use. I've lived in both worlds. I started recording back in the mid\late 80's using an analog 4 tra
  17. I agree, especially with the muddy part, especially with YHF. I listened to YHF last weekend for the first time in a few years and I thought there was something wrong with my system. IMO not having Jim O on board for SBS is a good thing. As for analog being "better" than digital I say it depends on the end result. There are plenty of completely analog recordings that sound crappy. It isn't a guaranty of higher quality sound no more than recording digital means everything sounds bad. I've heard extremely good home recordings from guys using Audacity and a Pod, if it sounds good it's good

  20. I don't mind buying it twice especially since I can use the "regular" release as a beater for playing in my car and PC. I own both the YHF and AGIB 2 disc and I only play those once in a while, usually just the bonus disc. For me it's a cool thing to have even if I can access the tracks for free.
  21. In small doses I like them, in other words not enough to buy more than a Greatest Hits and Can't Buy A Thrill.
