I am. That's only because I have 3 kids under the age of 4. But it looks good though. One thing that I have learned from having kids and going to these summertime releases is that only 1 out of 4 are good.

When I heard it a second time I called and the phone rang for like 2 minutes. Damn. Good for your dad! We'll see him on the stage at the show!

I haven't seen that yet. So I'm 2 weeks behind. I will watch the first episode something hopefully this week. Still bitter over losing Deadwood to this show though. Never

I would love to hear this song on Thursday as well. It's a great song and my favorite on SBS but is kind of herky jerky and awkward. It might not work in a live setting.

I'm not sure the domino theory was absolute bunk since Germany was occupied by Stalin and if left unattended would have been the first stepping stone. Maybe not though. It's hard to say what Stalin, a man who killed millions of his own people would have done.

Have you read Truman? Great book. Ike was just following the doctrine set up by Truman and by his example of not giving into the widespread isolationism in this country at the time. This world would be the USSR now if it weren't for Truman. Ike was largely an ineffective president IMO. He took all of the credit for ending the Korean war, a war that he criticized but reaped the benefits of a more stable and democratic Korea and a stable south east Asia. -- For a while at least.

Eisenhower was an a-hole. Read McCullough's Truman and you'll see why. But as far as Obama, he strikes me as a person with real passion about making change and should capitalize on his outsider status as someone who could potentially inspire a nation and as someone who doesn't have a 20 year career in DC making sure the status quo is perpetuated.

yeah, the walk is still roughly the same. Also, I have never sat on the lawn so that probably has a lot to do with my experience. Also the last time I was there I was in the front row to see Wilco. Good experiences I guess.

I've always had really good experiences at Merriweather. I'm surprised people hate it as much as they do. Yeah, I was at the Merriweather last time they played. It's big.
