I can understand that businesses want the cheapest labor they can get. It's capitalism. But what really ticks me off is when pundits and politicians say that the developers in China and India can do the job better than Americans with respect to quality. From my experience that's the big lie being repeated over and over. From what I have seen, the quality of the work that is being put out in India and China is not nearly as good as what is happening here in America. It's all about money. That's it. Cheap Labor. I guess that's the game we play, but let's not insult the people we have her

I didn't like the first one but I am willing to be that this one will be better than the first. Dumb and Dumber was a great movie. Sea Bass.

I think Kraft FoodsTM rock sounds better.

No just a reminder that we should all be keeping up with our education. Since I am a software engineer and there are H1-B visa holders (contractors from India) that will do my job for $10 an hour I'm just bitter. So to keep up with my next career I have been trying to remember the menu at Starbucks and McDonalds. But then I found out this: Outsourcing order taking...

This makes sense for both companies. Right now Dell sells computers for less than you could build it yourself. The big difference in this strategy is that Dell does not carry a huge inventory. The machines are sort of built just-in-time. Next thing you will hear is that they are laying off thousands in Round Rock, Tx because they and Walmart can get people in China to make them cheaper. Walmart and Dell: Who cares if the people that are making your Desktop PC live in tractor trailers with 40 other people. You are getting cheap computers and that's all you really want. Right?

I think I read that there are as many as 150 Regent University graduates working in the DOJ and White House.

I was thinking the same thing the other day... But I would be more of a Trivial Pursuit - Wilco Edition person.

It's amazing that Linkin Park can sell almost a million albums in one week.

I swear to god that your comment is word for word what I thought when I read the first post in this thread.

Serious trivia question: (If there is such a thing) In the film IATTBYH, who did Jeff ask to borrow money from in the fast food restaurant? Bonus: What was the fast food chain?

Ha Ha ! 32 and I got it, but only because I have read a couple of Led Zeppelin books in my short lifetime.

If my mom made me hotdogs with cream cheese on them I would probably tie a mini-cinder block to my foot and jump in a pool too. I kid of course.

Sounds like my wife. I rarely drink soda but if I do I will buy whatever is on sale. My wife only buys DP, no matter if it is 3/10 12-packs or $4.50 for one 12-pack. I know one thing about myself. I can no longer drink regular soda because the real thing is too sweet. Must drink diet.

Caution: Generalization/Hypothesis coming.... Diet coke drinkers all seem to be addicted to diet coke. They drink inordinate amounts of diet cokes in a day. Much more so than diet pepsi drinkers.

I love the song very much. -- Especially his Baritone guitar part in that song. But I love the whole album though.

Whats your favorite "fuck you" song?

I thought the DVD was awesome. I love how in the very beginning John plays around with the bass line in SBS. My only criticism would be of Tweedy's taste for furniture. Geez, everybody knows that shabby chic is like so 2001.

Saw Andrew Bird last night. It was definitely one of the best concerts I have ever been to and might be the best. He was outstanding. He played a lot of the new album and a goodly number of songs from Mysterious Eggs. Sorry no set list but if you ever get a chance to see this guy don't miss it. Oops. Sorry wrong forum, please move this for me. (I don't know how I did this... )

Is this the same hand/wrist he broke a couple of years ago in England?

Ha ha! As far as the film, I'm looking forward to this one.
