  1. Yeah, it has been awhile for me, too. Although, listening at work while doing other things doesn't do the album justice.
  2. Man, if I were a Tigers fan I would be livid right now.
  3. Interesting article. I was about to post something about the absence of mention of Mark Levin, but he addressed it in the chat.
  4. There's something about why those two songs are in Mono in the liner notes. I don't remember exactly what it said or what the reasoning was.
  5. Apparently, I like Pearl Jam more than most. 1. Vitalogy 2. No Code 3. Yield 4. Pearl Jam 5. Vs. 6. Ten 7. Binaural 8. Backspacer 9. Riot Act
  6. That's a good point. It's such a fun age right now.
  7. My little girl turns two today. Does anyone know how to stop this aging process thing?
  8. Yeah, Across a Wire is great and they are definitely a great live band.
  9. Y'all are the first two people I've ever heard say anything positive about Riot Act. I still think it's their worst album, mainly because there are some outright dreadful songs on it (most, if not all, of the second half of the album), and the good songs, of which there are very few, are decent at best. Obviously, tastes are different, but I thought the opinion on Riot Act was consensus.
  10. If you really want a big F-you to MLB, root for all sweeps, too.
  11. I'll never understand John Q. Public's insatiable appetite for sex scandals. Why should anyone not personally involved really care?
  12. I had to look up the album cover you were referring to. I had never seen it before.
  13. Am I the only one that is bothered by the comma in the thread title?
  14. I still think Spoon is underrated and that good, so I don't have a problem with as much Spoon as possible on any list. No Blinking Lights was also disappointing. No AGIB doesn't bother me because it doesn't surprise me, since I fully expected it not to make this list given its bad review. It would definitely make mine, though.
  15. Doesn't the site give them pretty favorable reviews, though. I was also surprised at the omission of a DBT album. SRO, Decoration Day, The Dirty South is about as good of a three-album run as a band could have.
  16. I had a roommate in college that bought a guitar and learned one song to play. That was it. (This was in 1999.) It was awful.
  17. I prefer Recovering the Satellites. This Desert Life was pretty good, even if it didn't touch their first two. After that, they haven't put anything out worth anyone's time.
  18. It was an album that I wanted to like more than I actually did like. I think the same could be said for For Emma, too. Although, I love everything about the Blood Bank EP.
