  1. Now that's what I call a rock show. Bravo Rio. Thanks for the report Mariana. Had a great time there myself once - and Buzios and Iguassu.
  2. So this weekend is apparently Keith Richards weekend on BBC 4. From 7pm to about 4 am each night he seems to have selected films to watch, and between each one there is a 20 to 30 minute slot described as him talking about stuff on different topics in each slot as far as I can gather. Not sure I'll watch live other than checking it's worth catching up wth on iPlayer later. It starts with Origin of the Species, which the Beeb showed a few weeks ago. Only a few sentences that really caught my attention, but I came away with the general affirmation of what a different time it was in the formative
  3. Freeze framing the scolling list, the stanout for me that should be the next album title is: Ding Dong! It's Wilco. The great Leslie Phillips would be so proud.
  4. For what it's worth, I'm with A-man - murky and unstructured. A lot could be due to the (lack of) quality of the recording device, but I would have wanted to hear that famous drum rhythm more up front too.
  5. Then unfortunately she sinks even lower in my estimation if she is making jokes about Aleppo right now.

  8. But some records are more equal than others. And as for double albums on vinyl, 4 sides good, 2 sides bad!
  9. Some sort of thank you to follow... If you've written Cali Stars should it be swapping in of Cali Stars for BNSF, or BNSF should be there? I am just trying to top your level of setlist pedantry
  10. Basil Brush. He had all the greats on his show at one time or another from the 60s to the 80s. Punchline of a joke, then Boom Boom!. Don't know why. to you too!
  11. A bumper edition no less! SF had that effect on me too last time I was there, though it was only for a long weekend of course and jetlag ruled. Still I did walk past said Fillmore and went to the fast food place next door I think. Mind you, I did walk just about everywhere in SF that weekend - covering more ground than Dirty Harry. I did end up being very lucky with the way things turned out too. Also, liked 'Faux-liage'. You missed that they could have been hanging from their laurels not resting on them. Boom boom (I will be mighty suprised if you know where boom boom comes from. After ch
  12. I have been hoping that they might call in to Rough Trade in London for an in store event in a couple of months. Perhaps this marginally increases that possibility ...
  13. That's great - thanks for posting. Interesting about the backing track to Art of Almost, for example.
