Apologies for a late few words, but had a family event yesterday and I'm suffering from a cold today. Thanks for keeping up the reporting Bbop. It did feel a bit 'different' - inevitably since this was a sterile large arts centre type venue compared to the cosy Union Chapel where I had last seen JT totally solo, and that kind of venue, like the Edinburgh one on this trip, makes it much more of a celebratory meeting rather than a performance to an audience (with as you said, a higher ration of weirdos). Only the buttocks were won over by the Barbican's comfy chairs (I didn't expect the ...)

Sounds like some people had been on the commotion lotion.

Also, how was James E. I make a point of seeing openers, but I'd like to know if I should strive to get there on time what with a commute and Wales v Scotland being on in the afternoon.

Ta. Was probably a one-off of craic corner. Looking forward to Saturday. For once the missus maybe persuaded to attend. If not there's a 4th or 5th row centre ticket with your name on it if that's better than what you might have (if you are interested).

The Detectorists series 3 (not quite up there with previous but I still love the gentle pace) Inside No. 9 series 4 (I think). First was a dud for me but now back on form. Also caught a few from earlier series I had missed on iPlayer Spiral series 6. Sorry to see 'Mr Judge' go. That Oasis Supersonic film. Never was a huge fan but the brothers have always been entertaining to listen to talking and I found it well put together. Parental advisory warning for language :-)

Seeing Mavis is a life-affirming experience indeed.
