It's pretty unrecognisable now after substantial redevelopment. Olivia Harrison hasn't lived there for some time. She had an hour long program of reminiscences in that Beatles radio week I mentioned above. Last I heard some South Africans were living there. A couple of years ago there was a get together to put a Blue Plaque up at the house.

If you have access there have been some nice BBC radio 2 programs in their special Beatles week prior to the Abbey Road at 50 mega bundle release (which in an ideal world I'd get but can't justify in the real world - same as for the White Album though I have someone here to thank for making some mp3s available of the Esher demos, which is appropriate as I live in Esher). Funny how when I started listening in 77-78 the 60s seemed so far away. Also, still a major claim to fame that I've used the urinals in Abbey Road, though again a lot of urine has passed through the pipe since then.

There is so much tommyrot being written on these pages that I feel like quitting the board, lurking to read all the posts regretting my departure, then joining again on a wave of endorphins.

It's tough to argue against your choices, but I'm going to go out on a limb by putting KT somewhere towards the middle of the ranking. I hope I'm not flamed for that, what with me being foreign and all and therefore perhaps with a different musical heritage and take on things.

They won to keep their chances of getting out of the group on track after defeat by Ireland, who themselves then lost to Japan in the shock of the tournament so far. So their group is all over the place and if will come down to Scotland versus Japan in the last game.

Given what you’ve leaked above, I fully expect a rash of Bbop impersonators trying to cadge free drinks at certain shows.

With Mrs Tatlock in tow (first Wilco show after passably enjoying JT solo last year, and not far off first decent scale rock show) the logistics of the day were always going to be skewed from the Wilco-obsessed ideal, so sorry I didn't get to have my usual nod of the head and couple of lines of chat with the main correspondent (and I would have bought him a drink of course). We arrived half way through OHHME and were standing half way back just as the floor rises to give a good full view of the band whilst still feeling close enough. In my haste to purchase for Hammersmith I dived in for the Standing option thinking that they were having a GA area on the floor. That looks like a schoolboy error since it seems clear now that there are the usual seated stalls and just a couple of lines of standing behind all of them under the edge of the circle. So I will have to console myself with the view of the back of your head. On the plus side it means there’s no point arriving early to queue and I might be able to shake a leg from time to time.

I'd like to see Apparel Avenue added to Banter Corner, where you also tell us what you have decided to kit yourself out in each night depending on weather, local custom, and dramatic impact - contrasting or complementing with what the band are up to. Perhaps that's better done on Instagram now that you're the Chauffeur to the Stars with a profile to maintain, but it would fit in nicely here methinks, with a thousand of your words being better than a picture.
