Good man

His Dark Materials - good Dr Who type (when Dr Who is/was good) entertainment. More time to fully develop the plot than the movie flop. Great child actress and believable CGI for daemons & bears etc.

Augie March - Bootikins (Havens Dumb had a few great songs too, but was a bit overproduced to my ears)

There was a solo show where JT introduced a game where you had to name a band and then imagine the kind of bowel movement from which the name arose. He offered up 'Led Zeppelin' as an easy starter. 'Hall & Oates', 'String Cheese Incident', 'Muddy Waters' were others amongst many mentioned that I can't remember. If I were there I would have gone with 'Blood Sweat & Tears'.

^^^ I seem to remember they have been continental US before, though that could mean coughing up for travel and overnight stay costs too. -

Well, I had shaken it out of my mind until you brought it back up again. Doh! Still, there are worse big hit songs out there. -

Mention of 'giant disco ball' made Disco Duck pop into my head. Now I can't get rid of it. It's going to be one of those days ... -
So that's him, Neil Young, and Pete Waterman who I know of as model train geeks in the music world. I might if I had the time/space. Not so much for the trains but I used to enjoy building/crafting models.

Which bit was taped? JT certainly had me fooled lip-syncing to Milli Vanilli standard. -

Potty problems? The mind boggles. -
Describing the pit as an amenity made me laugh, thinking back to those times before the pit got gentrified.

There is a rumour that the pre-show rituals involve owls and peanut butter spread, so maybe peanut butter cookies are a good choice.

No grain of salt needed for me when reading your reviews. Just a mug of Horlicks and a mogadon. -
That's funny re: The Alarm. I was only thinking to myself as I read the first couple of lines: 'On the plus side, they're Welsh (north Wales mind you). On the minus side, the hair.' Then I got to the punchline of your paragraph. I bought 68 Guns back in the day. It was all downhill from there in a Billy Idol version of punk sort of way.
