"World". LOL. Actually I was in Japan when Japan beat USA last year. They were going mental over it - and the next day practically stalking some Japanese star who plays in America. Also and more importantly, there is a 'British' version of baseball played in the Cardiff/Newport and also Liverpool areas brought back by sailors and corrupted/improved. Quite different rules. We played as our summer sport in school. Lots of the rugby players used to play to keep fit in the summer. In fact my very local area team were often Welsh champions - though it was all amateur etc. This will g -

Glad they did not forget the 'ed' on the end. Also: https://www.spin.com/2024/06/every-wilco-album-ranked/ Can't say I can summon up much spleen whatever they thought, as you say. -

Ta Milwaukee versus NY rivalries reminds me of the only baseball game I have ever attended - at Yankee Stadium in 1984. There was some kind of extension as 'you people' don't like drawn games, so it ended after midnight. Travelling back to southern Manhattan on the underground on my own was an 'experience'. NYC was a bit bankrupt and rougher in those days. -

https://vanderbilthustler.com/2024/05/08/waxahatchees-meditative-nostalgia/ "Another Chicago legend played drums behind . . .: Spencer Tweedy, son of the Wilco frontman." No offence to Spencer, but legend is an overused word.

Friday Night Dinner 9 years of series that I missed but can now binge at my leisure excellent stuff - situation comedy with well choreographed farce at times. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YcFkNYA5hps The last few seconds of this above had me in stitches last night. Makes me wish I had a brother, ha!

"In May 2021, Rousay went on a five-day trip and came back to a completely empty house. Burglars had taken everything: $20,000 worth of music gear, couch, passport, bed. Even the toilet seat. A GoFundMe was posted to help her recoup, raising more than $33,000. Soon after, a mysterious box bigger than her car showed up at the friend’s house where Rousay was staying. It was filled with instruments and equipment, including a full drum set and a $5,500 archtop guitar, courtesy of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, a fan of her work who had heard about her misfortune. “I did not know him, but he really helped me

Solid Sound Festival 2024 lineup

I think Bbop deserves his own hand-picked setlist show, with the man himself being in attendance reclining on a red velvet chaise longue at the side of the stage being fed grapes by a specially flown in Matrix. The lie/stand debate will be settled at his own discretion.
