  4. The movie Friends With Kids featured two Wilco songs in it's soundtrack. A Shot in the Arm & Solitaire. Not really a great movie but it had some funny moments.
  5. The last ten songs they played are my favorites.
  6. Cool, see you at the show. It is going to be great!!
  7. I'm in. See you at the Sunset Grille! Any meeting place for the Tampa show tonight?
  8. Looking for a passenger or passengers to share hotels, car rental, gas and experences for the upcoming Florida shows. Tampa Bay, Monday May 14th > Miami, Tuesday May 15th > St. Augustine, Wednesday May 16th >and then back to Tampa. Interested? Palm trees, ocean breezes and Wilco await. ♪♫.."Won't you let me make you a deal, Just get behind the wheel" ...♪♫

  11. Agreed, Blunderbuss most definitely has a haunting of 'One By One' with that pedal steel all the way through the song. Nice. And how close does Freedom@ 21 sound like a watered down version of Seven Nation Army? I liked the tune Love Interruption as well, all and all a pretty solid effort. Rock on Jack White!!!
  12. Wow, there are some very fine examples of Wilco's extraordinary poster art here. However, I continue to search for one of my favourite's. ~10/14/05 Ashville, NC Thomas Wolfe Auditorium Dan McCarthy Skeleton Hearts. 16" x 26"~ Listed here but unfortunately not available. Anyone have any leads on how to locate one? Bueller?... Bueller?
  13. Bob just might sing it like this. "♪♫..Somebody is out there beating the dead horse... ♪♫" Breaking news: This just in, Wilco declared 'NOT' a jam band by fans. Details and film at 11.
  14. Wilco a jam band? No way. Wilco is more like a genre fusion band given to their eclectic range of styles. To the untrained ear Wilco does seem to dabble occasionally in the jammy spaces, but as for wanton improvisation, nope. Their's is a highly structured sound with very little of that spontaneity, i.e. the creating of fresh melodies over the continuously repeating cycle of chord changes in a tune. It has been said that the best improvised music sounds composed, and that the best composed music sounds improvised. That's Wilco. And there in lies their misconception as a jam band.
  15. Traveling Wilburys _Volume 1 (1988) One of the best garage bands and garage albums ever! (It was actually recorded in Bob Dylan's garage studio) Also marked the last recordings of Roy Orbison. Dread Zeppelin's _ Un - Led - Ed (1990) Come on kids, reggae versions of Led Zep w/ an Elvis impersonator. An Un-derrated masterpiece! Violent Femme's _ Hallowed Ground (1984) Some real dark musical shit indeed. Right up there with Bull Black Nova. And a personal favourite album that no one has ever heard of and is highly underrated, even in Quebec: Harmonium_ Harmonium (1974) French Canadi

My x GF(two words really) had introduced me to Wilco and subsequently she became embodied in seemingly every song as I was falling in love with her. And then every other song as the relationship was on the outs. But hey, why stop listening to Wilco because they remind you of her? You just have to reclaim Wilco back as your own. Get out and see them when you can, create your own new experences and have fun. Can't be living in the past, as hard and as difficult as tha
  18. ' Airline to Heaven' was used recently and appropriately in the movie soundtrack for We Bought a Zoo (starring Matt Damon & Scarlett Johansson) It's a cutesy little movie for the kids but made me smile when I heard the Wilco.
