  1. Ok, strategies and suggestions for the Riv? I've heard so far, to get there early if you wanna get up front or head to the balcony if you're short. Are there any other locations besides being on the rail up front or balcony for good sight lines and sound quality? Thanks!
  2. Plane tickets check! Airbnb check! Recommendations on travel from O'hare to Northside (Buena Vista)? Plan on using mass transit as much as possible. Looks like bus to Irving Blue Line. Anyone else with a different take?
  3. LouieB, Thanks for the feedback and I've been enjoying your Chicago post. I've been looking into possibly getting a room at the Hotel Lincoln. But, will give Airbnb a whirl. Andy
  4. Any recommendations for hotels near the Riv? Thanks!
  5. Ruling Class can be heard during the new movie, People Like Us. Pretty good flick too...
  6. I agree with the part about Lesh and Weir, post-91. It seemed as they started to play the new songs (Eternity, Long Way to Concession Stand, Liberty, Lazy River Road, So Many Roads, etc.) they along with everyone, but Jerry was present in the music. Again, within the 92-95 years you can find incredible moments and even full shows, example RFK 92, Dean Dome 93, and Charlotte 95 (Bruce Night). I struggle personally to come up with a standout in 1994. But, I'm sure someone else will chime in having had some magical experience.
  7. Yea, who can forget his support of Hanson...sorry I couldn't help myself. All kidding aside happy birthday to Mr. Strummer!
  8. It's gotta be hard to sell something that everyone already has in most cases. All of those shows are available via BT or streamable on the Archive in SBD or even matrix quality. I think the book, tickets and memorabilia is an attempt to interest would be buyers. I know I would love to have it but, I can also no longer justify spending that kind of money. I think the recording industry is going to face a bitter pill to swallow soon as more and more people turn to file sharing and streaming.
  9. Right, I hear you. I think Obama has done some great things, but there is much that still needs to be done. I would have to say that I'm still in support of him but I hope he has a better strategy and plan for the next 4 years. To me it appears that he was a little overwhelmed with putting out fires. I just hope he's able to continue for another four years and redeem himself. We are at a very difficult place in the arc of our country, where the economy seems to need to be propped up by the government subsidies, but at the same time running up such an alarming debt, something has got to
  10. I think it also has to do with the economic downturn that came on during the Bush years and the post 9/11 spending. It's not just a response to Obama but a response to government spending which to many has been out of whack since the New Deal.
  11. Taken from Plug in Music: Wilco's Mikael Jorgensen And Greg O'Keeffe Ready The Release Of "ARMZ Since beginning work in 2002 on Wilco's "A Ghost Is Born," Mikael Jorgensen has been an integral member of the band - both in the studio and on the road. The ever prolific Jorgensen, when not working with Wilco, has kept himself busy recording and touring as a collaborative artist. In 2007 Jorgensen, working with longtime collaborator and drummer Greg O'Keeffe as "Pronto", recorded their Contraphonic Records debut, "All Is Golden." It's a 70′s-inspired tome that serves as a record of action
  12. He actually has the Cooperstown, NY show up not Mass-MOCA.
  13. I wish they would play New England. Aside from Newport, we're getting nada from MMJ
  14. I think they played that at Terminal 5 and again in Cooperstown?
  15. PM me if you have two available for tonight. Also, what is your asking/bid price. Thanks, a
  16. I also enjoyed the fact that they played all the way up until the curfew literally hitting the last note of Late Greats at 10:30 on the dot. Someone needs to post the correct setlist, this one is close, but my memory is much fuzzier than heart's.

  18. I also share those same nightmares...more along the lines of Weir's "daisy dukes" I appreciate understand the "respect the music...i.e. performer appearance" I just hope that he's healthy and happy! Your comment reminds me of when I took my wife to see Dylan and Paul Simon a few years back, she made the comment that Dylan not only outperformed Simon he was better dressed!
