Today on our usual lunchtime prairie walk, my dog got into a mess of snakes. They were all piled together in a sunny warm spot and the dog just jumped right into them.

With Candace doing the lights, whoever makes it to these shows are in for a treat.

"The Knife" by R. Ritchell. Its the authors debut book and it got a fantastic review in the Tribune a month ago.

Watched Peter Jackson's triumphant debut "Bad Taste" with my son over the weekend. Havent seen it in prolly 10 years.....but it still brings the goods. If you haven't seen it, you must. Give it 10 minutes. By then, you'll know if its for you or not.

Listened to 6/30/85 a few times over the weekend, great show! I had no idea the GD did "Keep On Growing".

Took the dog to the prairie for a walk today. While there, we scared up a flock of meadowlarks.

Yesterday I started fulltime on the e-cig thing. Going surprisingly well.

Saw "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" recently. Whoa, the majority of the fans in the flick really fell into that specific subset of young moron/ding dong. I guess I should know because I saw that Judas Priest tour (Turbo! Dooood!) and would've fit right in. That was the last time I saw them because shortly thereafter I succumbed to the sweet siren song of the Grateful Dead and left my metal days behind.

We'll pick up some doggie downers and keep her hepped up all day. Peace thru superior pharmacology!

Oh man, she got more aggressive as she aged? We were hoping that she'd mellow as she got more comfortable with us and the training took hold.

Mmmmm.....geodes.....delicious! My dog has a screw loose when it comes to other dogs. She goes from a kind, sweet gentle pup to the angriest beast in the world at the sight of another dog. We actually got kindly kicked out of the dog training class we were attending because of her aggressiveness.

That dog eats any of my books or records and its off to the forest preserve with her! Speaking of carpet, I just found her chewing a hole in the center of a throw rug in the basement. Its been 2 weeks so now she feels comfortable in expressing who she really is?

Today I found the new addition to the family unit, a 1 yr old mutt (black lab/australian cattle dog/german shepard; rescue) chewing the hell out of the basement stairs. The hell!?
