I just went and bought another $20 maker. This time I'm saving the receipt and box. When it breaks, I'm returning it.

Head East.....man, they used to play a lot in Chicagoland back in the late 70s/early 80s. I seem to recall them doing double bills with Mahogany Rush and April Wine.

Once again, our coffee maker is kaput. Its not like it was abused, dropped, overused or whatever. It made 7 cups of semi strong coffee once a day. Now it does nothing. I know I've complained about this before but we cant seem to find a decent coffee maker that lasts more than a year. The one that just broke? We splurged and bought a higher end Black & Decker about 8 months ago thinking that this model would be our ticket to coffee pot longevity. But no, this one didn't even last a year. What is a java junkie to do?

Been listening to Bob's new album this morning. Lots of low key pedal steel guitar. Bob's voice is in fine form (heh) but I kinda like it.

"The Drop" by D. Lehane. It's pretty obvious he wrote the Cousin Marv character with James Gandolfini in mind. Read "The Green Book" last weekend. Neat little kids sci fi book. Next up, "American Sniper". Maybe.

Speaking of bbq, I just mixed bbg sauce (open pit) into my broccoli slaw for some kick. Yep, living large.
