Last weekend I was with someone who told me, in all seriousness, that Trump should be president. I managed to keep my jaw from dropping thru the floor and remained calm as well.

Today I called the cops on a kid riding his motorcycle thru the forest preserve prairie. Dang kids!

Watched the premier of season 3 "Under the Dome" last night. After flirting with sanity last season, the writers are back to full fledged crapola. Total schlock but its fun for the family to tear it apart. After that, we watched an electrical storm rip thru the area. Amazing light show.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that Emmylou Harris sang backup on Dylan's "Desire".

It's been a week now and I'm still buzzing over that 7/3 show.

I heard horror stories about waits to get into the stadium, bathroom, beer, leaving, etc. I experienced nothing of the sort. I was able to scoot from my seat, grab beers and be back in mere minutes. Bathroom too. I suppose that's a benefit of behind the stage seats?

Start with "Reckoning"....live acoustic stuff. If you like that, go to "American Beauty" and "Workingmans Dead". If that settles in right, you've got a sound foundation to dive into the live electric stuff.

Katie Parry was there with some guy.

Bill Murray was there.

You're right Poon, I have nothing but respect for Trey. Those were some mighty big shoes he had to step in to. I think he did a commendable job.

Bummers: No Donna No nod to Brent-WTF? The tempo to many of the songs I heard were slow, too slow. No dice on the psychs. None were available that I was made aware of. Just some tasty domestic beers were all I needed.

Wow, what a weekend! I only saw the Friday show, listened to 3/4 of Saturdays and know nothing of last nights show except the song list. Observations and etc from Friday- First off, my experience surrounding the Friday show was fantastic. We met my buddy in the Waldron lot who got in real early so we had a primo spot. If we were selling food and/or beer, we would've made a mint. Anyways, me and my wife are talking with folks and who do we end up chatting with? Why, its Calvino, who is buddy's with my pal. Unbelieveable how these things happen some times. Calvino's a great guy and it was great

Ah, that "safe keeping" stuff gets you every time. My bud lost his car keys at the show because he tied them to his shoe laces for safe keeping. See, he didn't want them to fall out of his pocket......and....yeah..... Because he lost the tickets and keys, he decided to sleep under his car in the lot but the acid wouldn't let him. Tomorrow could be a loooong day.

I plan on doing a whole lot of wandering....if I get in. My buddy that I'm going with has tried to see the GD at Soldier Field three times. Each time either he or the folks he was with lost the tickets (also, car keys once). I plan on asking for my ticket from him asap.

I have obstructed seats on the north end, sec 350. Its gonna be great! Btw, I wanna see Donna. It'd be pretty mean if they don't ask her to sing a few tunes.

I'm getting kinda excited about the upcoming GD show I have a ticket for.

Bhopal Stiffs and Dayglow Abortions are two that come to mind. Not that they bother me.

I finally saw the northern lights the other night. After 20 some years of paying attention to CME reports, it happened. I woke the family up at 12:30am and we sat on the dock of the house we are renting in northern WI and watched the show for an hour. Unreal stuff. we were all in awe. Also, I caught a 13" crappie on a popper, which is pretty much just as rare.

I saw The Firm tour for their first album. Suites is correct, they had some good tunes on the first one. I liked the show I saw and I have a tape somewhere of a show from their first tour (not Chicago though).

Saw one whopper of a Great Egret today. I've seen them before but this guy had a wingspan like Rodan.

Today, laying in bed at 7am trying to wake up, I heard a very big noise, something like a tree splitting, coming from the backyard. Looking out the bedroom window, to my relief, I could see no damaged tree in the yard. Come to find out on the lunch walk with the mutt and kids around the pond, a neighbors willow tree split in half. Now he's got a big mess on his hands.

I did experience a lull in searching out new music in my early 30s, after the kids were born. No time, no energy, no money, etc. There was about a 10 year gap. At age 40, things picked up again. I think it was easy access to a well supplied library that kicked it into gear. There is still the time issue but I manage. One thing I can not due is work on the computer and listen to music. Music becomes so distant to me that I don't even bother. Music still does remain a passion for me that I try to pass on to my kids. I couldn't imagine my need for and love of music ever falling by the wayside com
