  1. I saw it once. The best part was when they were caught in the trash compactor. I laughed so hard.
  2. Mark Hamill's "Corvette Summer". Anyone remember that wild ride?

That's awesome!^^ I too have been lucky enough to have Great Horned Owls in my yard and neighborhood the last few years. I was watching one at dusk just last week.

Thanks, all. I really was hoping that we would be giggling about his misadventures some time in the future but was also prepared for this possibility too. The guy had the biggest heart in the world and would do anything for people he loved and yet he couldn't help himself. So maddening.

Well, my buddy died a few days ago, his heart couldn't take it any longer. My oldest friend too. I knew him since he was 2 years old. Damn shame.
  6. in 2014 I found 2 of the three Ditch Trilogy albums by NY (Time Fades Away and Tonites the Night) at local sales, a buck each.
  7. Me and my wife saw "The Big Short" last night. I'm being generous by saying there were 30 people in attendance. I recently read the book so I know what was happening but experiencing the situation again in a 2 hour time frame left me full of anger and resentment and sadness. All the facts are public knowledge and yet nothing changed. WTF. This film should be required viewing for every American citizen.
  8. Me and my kids watched "Them" and "The Beast from 20000 Fathoms". Fun stuff, lots of laughs. Make me a sergeant in charge of the booze!

Today we'll be driving way out into the sticks of northern IL to attend a wake for a friends father and then turn around and drive the other way into the city for a Festivus party. When its over we'll drive home and then get up at 630am in order to volunteer at an event for some disadvantaged kids. Wee!
  10. Someone recently told me that the disinfectant power of Lysol is just a big pack of lies. LIES!
  11. But it lacks a beat you can dance to. Pass.
  12. I use a regular old Webber kettle style grill for the smoking. I like to do pork butt/shoulders and beercan chicken. Its all about the indirect heat and using an internal temp gauge to determine doneness. Btw, I taught myself, its easy. Be not afraid!

Thanks, its such a sad story. The guy really doesn't deserve the hand he was dealt but he refused to walk away from the table so.....

Thanks. This thing is such a mess. He bonded himself out and went right back to the hotel where he's holed up, drinking his face off. He wont talk with anyone, family or friends.
  15. Man oh man, how times flies! Keep up the great work Poon

Today the cops found and arrested my very much in trouble (massive alcoholic, depressed/suicidal) friend of mine after I attempted to file a missing persons report yesterday. . Man, this guy is dragging all those that care about him thru the wringer. I never thought I'd think someone would be better off in jail but in this case, jail will be good for him.
  17. I haven't read the book but I do have it waiting for me at the library
  18. We just finished "The man in the high castle" too and enjoyed it.
  19. Re-ac-tor. How did I over look this album for so long?? I picked up a vinyl copy the other day and listened to it last night/this morning. "Opera Star" and the song about no T-bones were the standouts for me.
  20. After a night of under aged drinking, I knelt on the hood of a 1979 Lincoln Continental while my buddy raced around the neighborhood.
