SAVAGE!
-
yeah, that's how I end up listening too
-
Sorry I brought him up. The hatred he spews can be pretty vile. Moving on..... I couldn't believe JEB! had his dingbat brother on the campaign trail the other day. What an unwelcome sight that was.
-
Gotta wonder why his family didn't request an autopsy.... Btw, I'll listen to Michael Savage once in a while for the laughs (the man is clearly deranged and requires institutionalization immediately) and he has gone completely nuts with his Scalia conspiracy theories. They are hilarious.

"Wicked River-The Mississippi When It Last Ran Wild" by L Sandlin. It aint no Huck Finn fairytale, that's for sure.
-
Today I learned that earthquake lights are accepted as scientific fact. Faaaaaaaar out!
-
I half watched/listened to most of it last night. Bernie stayed on his talking points, Hillary beat him on foreign policy. The gloves came off a little bit but there's not much to say about it.

Good idea, I need a new book

I've never seen "The Last Picture Show" so when it popped up on the boob tube last night, I settled in to watch it. A few things: wow, what a great soundtrack of good old country tunes! Sam Bottoms played the mute kid who went on to play the kid from Outlaw Josie Wales and then Lance in Apocalypse Now! Too cool, I had no idea. Clu Gallagher! I loved this guy from Return of the Living Dead and then the Feast series. Cybil Sheppard's first role. Yum. Randy Quaid, pre-crazy. Jeff Bridges, pre-The Dude. Cloris Leachman! Ellen Burstyn! I gotta watch this again due to lots of distractions but I

"Stories I Tell Myself. Growing Up with Hunter S. Thompson" by Juan Thompson Yep, HST's son spilling the beans, so to speak, on his old man. It's an ok read, nothing earth shattering. The kid dropped acid with his mom when he was 14. That's an odd parental practice but it was the '70s so.....

Watched "Wyrmwood" and "A Walk in the Woods" recently. Both were reasonable uses of my time however I'm not sure why Redford insisted in bumping the ages of the characters up in order to star in the film. I believe Bryson was in his 40s when he did the hike.

heh....I laughed

Amazing aint the word for it. I just wish I didn't have to spend it in IL. What an effed up place this state is. Cant leave though, at least not until the parents cross the great divide.

Today I fried an egg sunny side up (runny, not firm) and placed it on a toasted English muffin smeared with hot giardiniera and ate the entire thing while reading a news article about some kooks in Denver who gather together and read the Bible while getting stoned.
-
I think I may have to listen to that show today.
-
"You, Me & the Apocalypse" has been good for some chuckles.
-
Good God, that entire show is a smoker. It even sports my favorite version of Funiculi Funicula. If there is anyone out there that hasn't heard this show yet, please please fix that immediately

Three coins in a fountain.....

I gathered the family together last Friday night to hate watch "The Happening" and we had a blast. Now hate watching the final season of "Under the Dome".
-
Over the weekend I listened to the recent compilation release of the Fare Thee Well shows. Yeeesh, so not good. I did like Trey and Jeff Chimenti. There were a few bright spots over the course of the 2 discs but certainly not worth buying or listening to again. Am I recalling correctly that Trey said he couldn't get the guys together to practice?

Saw JA in 89. Nostalgia trip but still fun. RIP Paul! I'm gonna spin Blows or Volunteers tonite (tied for favorite from his output)
-
I'll tell you what......if my favorite TV show weren't on tonite, I'd be driving my SUV westbound to relieve my Ya'll Queda compatriots! Also,The Goldbergs

Hey, leave Yoko out of this. She is a visionary and doesn't deserve the static. You feel me, Ponch?

Oh, you know it.....heh heh heh.
