If every US Senator and Representative was forced to resign over acts of poor (non-criminal) judgement they committed before they became elected officials, both chambers would be virtually empty. I don't think Franken should resign over this. Let the voters of the State of Minnesota decide his fate.

The Mountain Goats

Today, I had a business meeting in Le Mars, Iowa. After the meeting, I drove 35 miles west across the Big Sioux River into South Dakota. It was the first time I've been to South Dakota. I've now visited 49 states. North Dakota? I'm coming for you!

I listened to Fables last night. What a brilliant album. Stipe at his most inscrutable, mumbly best.

^^^ Impressed that you made it to 57 without a prior surgery. Even more impressed that you are posting the same day as your surgery!! Good luck -- the three people I know who have had hip replacements all say that the procedure exponentially improved the quality of their lives.
