According to the USPS, my 'roided up iPod Classic (with 360 gb of Flash storage) will be delivered to my home today. I am genuinely excited. Perhaps too excited.

All those shows are down south, no?. We looked for cheap flights from Chicago to all the venues and came up empty. This is my wife's dream pairing -- her two favorite artists. I'm going to avoid the topic for at least a month and hope she forgot about it! Unlikely.

^^^ I agree and it's not just about being fed-up. I suspect we haven't heard the last from Paul Ryan. He may feel that distancing himself from POTUS is not only a good move for his personal life, but also a good move for his long-term political future.

I've argued with my friends over this for years -- I think you can build a case for R.E.M. as the greatest American rock band ever.

Yes. Jason was no longer with the band at the time. But Shona was.

I highly recommend "Scene of the Crime" an album she recorded with the Drive-By Truckers as her backing band.
