  1. I like the Crew. But Suppan won't keep pitching this well, and JJ Hardy is going to plummet back to earth soon.
  2. Yeah... "I've survived, that's good enough for now" isn't exactly optimistic.
  3. I hadn't listened to it in a while and then I decided to put it on the other day and I've been listening to it alot. It's so great. One of my favorite albums.
  4. Me neither, but god damnit, it's funny.
  5. Brokeback Mountain was not a good movie. They should be more offended that it got nominated for every single fucking award in the universe.
  6. I blame this thread for Josh Beckett's new injury...
  7. If people don't want to accept him as the record holder, they don't have to, but really the record doesn't mean anything. It doesn't tarnish Aaron's legacy, or make him any less of a player (though I would argue Bonds was a better player than Aaron before the roids). All it means is that Bonds literally hit more home runs than him. I'm not defending Bonds here, I'm saying that him breaking the record isn't the worst thing in the world. We get too caught up in the raw numbers sometimes. Aaron played in a pitcher's era (1960's). Bonds played in a hitter's (or steroid era). Take the numbers with
  8. Oh. My. God. Jorge Julio. Oh. My. God. If I ever see him throw so much as one more pitch in a Marlins uniform I'm going to officially boycott the team. (probably not, but I might). I've never seen a pitcher as incapable of getting outs as he is. I can't watch when he comes into the game because it makes me want to hurt somebody.
  9. I wish I was in Chicago for this. Sounds like a blast. I'd totally get up there and do "Hate It Here" or "Monday".
  10. Ugh. It doesn't mean he's the greatest hitter. It doesn't mean he was the greatest home run hitter. It means he hit the most home runs. Thats it. He played in a very high home run era. So his achievements are much less impressive when viewed in context, but for some reason people tend to look at stuff like this in a vacuum. It is a number.
  11. I always thought "I'm Lonely, But I Ain't That Lonely Yet" by the White Stripes was the best Eagles song they never made.
  12. Not sure those are on the level of Wilco's, but I'm Wide Awake is as good as anything Wilco's ever done. My God, what a perfect album. Equally emotional, funny, heart breaking, and uplifting.
  13. Why? Because they are both really good albums? Hell, I would say the Beatles didn't release one single bad album, so you could list all 13 of their studio releases and I'd have no problem with it.
  14. I've never heard them, by my parents told me they were good.
  15. Rubber Soul Revolver Sgt. Pepper Magical Mystery Tour The Beatles Abbey Road Let It Be.
