  1. I'm not sure why I would make a joke about that.
  2. CNNSI is reporting that the owner and pilot of the plane that hit the building in NYC was Cory Lidle.
  3. I did it once. Or 3 times. but I stopped.
  4. High School Confidential by Jeremy Iversen. It's really good so far, although I don't really understand what he is going for. I can't tell if it is a serious look at the high school culture at the turn of the century, or if it is an overdramatized soap opera. It tends to be both at the same time, probably because they aren't mutually exclusive. And having just graduated from High school ( a year after his The characters are all very realistic though, and don't tend to fall into the same old "high school archetypes" that we are used to. Instead of the "jock", and the "nerd", etc., you have s
  5. Hilarious Colbert Report tonight. Had Gloria Steinam and Jane Fonda on the show talking about their feminist radio network, and he had them baking pie. Hysterical.
  6. I didn't, but Microsoft Word says they used "it's" when they should've used "its".
  7. Now who are they going to blame their lack of pitching on? Arod can't take all the blame, can he? It seems like ESPN picked up on the "Arod to Miami" possibilites and are reporting on it, which of course means the deal is dead where it stands.
  8. I can't stop watching. I think everyone should quote that post in every post from now on so we don't miss it.
  9. Those don't exactly give the boys much room to breath.
  10. I am wearing boxer breifs today, and I have to say they are probably the best of the lower body undergarments.
  11. Randy Newman just performed "Political Science" on The Colbert Report. Awesome.
  12. Yeah, he's probably the best player in the league, and if the Canucks have a real defense (something the panthers haven't had since we traded the Jovocop in 99), he'll prove that. Either way, I firmly believe that in the new NHL, a great defense with a good goalie will trump a bad defense with a great goalie, since the goalies have had their advantages from previous years taken away from them. Defensemen and a good offense are much more important, which is why I think we are actually better suited for the long run this year than last year. A front line of Jokinen, Bertuzzi, and Nieuwendyk l
  13. No, but my parents just reinbursed me for having to pay those tickets, so I've got some extra cash. The order only came out to 50.
  14. I just ordered Clone High, My Name Is Earl Season 1, and Scrubs Season 4 on Amazon. Awesome.
  15. To dream ... the impossible dream ... To fight ... the unbeatable foe ... To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ... To run ... where the brave dare not go ... To right ... the unrightable wrong ... To love ... pure and chaste from afar ... To try ... when your arms are too weary ... To reach ... the unreachable star ... This is my quest, to follow that star ... No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ... To fight for the right, without question or pause ... To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ... And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest, That my heart will
  16. What I Hate About Rock and Roll and What I like About it. If that is really the title of the new album I will be so unspeakably happy.
  17. BRISTOL, CT--Even though the National League somehow managed to send four teams into the 2006 MLB postseason, baseball experts said Monday that it is "unlikely" that any of them will advance past the second round of the playoffs. "The Mets, Dodgers, Padres, and Cardinals have serious pitching issues, almost zero offense, and have played terribly down the stretch," ESPN analyst Buster Olney said. "However, they each luckily drew a first-round opponent that is similarly ill-fitted for postseason play, so we may see one or two emerge from the first round. But as for the World Series--not a chance
  18. I just ordered Chinese food. This may be the best I've eaten since I've been at the dorms. Update later.
  19. I'm not sure if I'm sick, but I definetly don't feel well. My body has been sore all week.
  20. I figured the Yankees were in for a big rebuilding sometime soon. They are too old and too expensive to compete every year. And if the Yankees want to trade A-Rod +4 million a year for Willis I will take that and run with it. Alex will return to being the 50 home run a year threat he was before he got to New York (Nevermind that he hit 48 homers last year), and he'll excel in front of the 2,000 fans every night. Even if they booed, he couldn't hear them. It's a match made in heaven.
  21. The dude's got a .927 OPS in the postseason. Give him a break. It's not his fault they wanted to pay him that much. If you were offered 25 million dollars to edit a newspaper, you wouldn't turn it down on the fear that you wouldn't make effective enough use of white space. You would take it and run, and to criticize him for it is wrong. I'd take that and pencil the Marlins into the playoffs for the next 5 years. Heads were likely to roll after the Yankees were eliminated from the postseason by the Tigers, but the opening odds were on Alex Rodriguez going first, not Joe Torre. Accord
  22. I'm so sick of all the crap A-rod gets. How has he ruined that team? Is he pitching poorly? Is he making the team make bad signings? Is he purposefully injuring Carl Pavano? No. Also, Ken Rosenthal said that there's a possibility the Yankees and Marlins may make a deal to get A-Rod out of NYC if the Marlins will give up Dontrelle. I'd do it in a heartbeat.
