  1. Mark Whiten had a pretty good game Also gotta like a pitcher throwing a complete game and picking up as many RBI as IP.
  2. Since it's about halfway through, thought I'd see how I'm doing on my preseason picks right now. AL East New York Boston Tampa Bay Orioles Toronto AL Central Cleveland Minnesota Detroit Chicago Kansas City AL West Los Angeles Oakland Texas Seattle AL MVP: Grady Sizemore, Cleveland Not looking so good AL Cy Young: CC Sabathia, New York Not so much. Hasn't been terrible, but I didn't expect that park to play like Coors AL Rookie of the Year: Travis Snider, Toronto Nope. NL East Philadelphia New York Florida Atlanta Washington NL Central Chicago St. Louis Milwaukee Cincinnat
  3. Think Willie Randolph is upset the Mets fired him still?
  4. He's one of the 5 best pitchers in baseball.
  5. Roy Halladay looks like he's going to be moved. Not sure the yanks have the prospects to get him, the red sox might, but I can't see them getting another sp. Some team is going to give their top 3 prospects to get him, I wish that team was the marlins. We've got the prospects, but neither the money now the balls to make that deal. Very few teams even have a package the blue jays should want.
  6. Baseball reference is kept open constantly at work and is used to settle all debates (or sometimes we'll just sit there and marvel at pedro's late 90's numbers.)
  7. I am putting my new found legal status, and the Marlins mug I got for my birthday to good use. And it's a monday. Ole!
  8. Doesn't quite do them justice, you have to hear them... It's absolutely awful. And John Turturro says at one point "I'm standing under the Giant robot's genitals."
  9. Your computer must have some sort of weird macro in that makes it put it out "Sonny Feeling" when you type "I'll Fight." Someone's been messing with you! The vinyl and CD versions sound a lot better than the downloaded version I had, I will say that. I almost feel the one I got was mixed differently than the final version.
  10. I think I've reached the point where I've been on this board for over a quarter of my life. Insanity.
  11. Reminds me of when Beck and the governor of Texas both incorrectly cited a law that they thought means Texas can secede from the union whenever they want.
  12. The first was exactly what it should have been. The robots were the main characters, and they actually matter. They are pushed entirely to the background in this one, and every single scene contains at least one questionable decision. A robot with gold teeth and big ears and his brother (who somehow has big lips, despite being a robot) admit they can't read. That was one of the most embarassing things I've ever seen. And then Robot Heaven.
  13. I'm very excited about that one. Pretty much every movie that's had a major release this summer I've seen (my girlfriend and I pretty much see two movies every week because there's nothing else to do at night where I live), and I would rank them like this: 1. Up- Pretty far and away. I don't get how Pixar can continuously match themselves. They didn't quite top WALL-E with this one, but it's certainly their funniest movie since Monsters, Inc, and that's probably the one it has the most in common with. 2. Star Trek- The cast was absolutely perfect, and it's the first thing JJ Abrams has
  14. Before my uncle told me to "fuck off" and deleted me on Facebook, I could always tell what crazy bullshit he was going to post on his page by what Beck had talked about the night before.
  15. I was thinking about making that joke, but I wasn't sure how to go about it.
  16. Then I hereby nominate Max Brooks for President of the United States in 2012.
  17. It's going to be really interesting to see if the Repubs go with one of the old guard neo-con types like Jindal, who focuses more on morality, or if they go with a Ron Paul type who focuses on the economy. Sanford would've had a great chance if the economy kept going down and he had been able to stop going down to Argentina.
  18. I hate these west coast games when I'm working the next day.
  19. And a year and a half ago that crazy douchebag Glenn Beck didn't have a snowball's chance in hell to be one of the highest rated cable personalities around. The economy makes people do crazy shit.
  20. Everytime I try to "get" One Missippi, something gets in my way.
  21. I have still only heard Alternative to Love...
  22. if the economy doesn't get better, it won't matter who the GOP runs out there.
  23. If Albert pujols walked into any NFL camp, they'd at least run him out at middle linebacker in drills based solely on his size and see if he can keep up. He's outrageously large.
  24. Am I th only one who is amazed ay how big albert's gotten everytime you see him? And not big in the Pablo Sandoval, kung fu panda way.
