  1. very dark movie & quite graphic. i saw it a real long time ago.
  2. I saw the go fund me blew by it's goal quickly. I'm sure they can use the extra cash. Good on people who contributed!
  3. For anyone in the US who is interested here is the link to order 4 free home test kits from the US government: https://www.covidtests.gov/
  4. I spread the word on some other music sites I post on.
  5. The SBS situation just keeps getting worse. Prayers for those involved.
  6. The trouble with that is if one were filed it would almost certainly include the band. Those kind of suits tend to include anyone who was involved on any level. The concert business has always been rife with corruption & malfeasance. This is just the latest. It's too bad that Wilco has gotten caught up in something like this.
  7. While the vast majority of the blame should go to the promoter, I don't think the band is entirely blameless. They didn't have to accept the gig. Also, they were advertising it pretty heavily on their mechanisms such as wilcoworld & via email etc. I probably shouldn't say anything as this stuff is way out of the zone I can afford even if I was healthy enough to travel. Would love to go but that's not the reality I have to live in these days. I have rocked & rolled plenty in my life haha.

They are playing Seattle, too. I'm thinking about it. Right now for budgetary reasons I'm reluctant to throw more money down for shows that may or may not happen. I'm glad I got to see Wilco & MMJ in October. I've got 3 shows (The Beths, DBT & TWOD) scheduled in February, not sure they're going to happen. Hopefully the omicron wave crests soon. A lot of shows here that would've easily sold out in the past aren't. I was shocked to see there were still tickets available for Guided by Voices as the tickets have been on sale for months.
  9. While not on the same scale as this festival, Drive-by Truckers have postponed Heathens Homecoming in Athens GA from this month until April. Seems prudent. I have 3 shows in February & am wondering if they are going to come off. Especially the Beths first weekend. They are coming from New Zealand so I'm guessing it's complicated for them. The others are DBT & the War on Drugs. DBT is make up show from 2 years ago. TWOD have cancelled the opening acts for their tour.
  10. hard to believe this was 25 years ago
  11. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Bowie's birth yesterday
  12. Wilco probably wouldn't allow it now either since they sell some shows on nugs. Although come to think of it, My Morning Jacket does some stuff with nugs & still allow people to tape & post shows on archive. I've heard their sound guy actually helps tapers sometimes. Most Drive-by Truckers shows end up on archive except for the occasional one they sell. They still allow the audience tapes to go up though. Ween is very friendly too. I think these bands have figured out that if someone is going to download shows that most likely they'll have already bought the commercial product. All the
  13. RIP. RIP Robbie Shakespeare too. Bad week for great musicians.
  14. Finally getting to this. Pretty amazing film. Peter Jackson did an incredible job putting it together.
  15. It's good but it's very irritating that the only way you can get the cd is to buy the deluxe "Love is the King". Fine record but I don't need 2 copies.
  16. 3 definite keepers I'd like to hear live. The rest is ok but not super memorable. The good ones are really good though.
