  1. Not familiar with them. Will have to check them out.
  2. Amy Taylor (Amyl & the Sniffers) dedicated a song to everyone with an uterus during the show on Wednesday. She's so awesome!
  3. John better be careful or he'll be swimming with the fishes like Luka Brazzi
  4. The fees (& prices) are out of control. With LiveNation & AXS you can basically count on paying the price of 3 tickets for 2. The smaller promoters & ticket services are being somewhat less greedy. I got row S for Bob Dylan & paid $330 for 2 tickets. I didn't even check the first 10 rows. The first 10 rows for Crowded House were $300 a ticket & that's before fees. I'm passing on some shows that I would've went to in the past. Just can't afford it. One example is Robert Plant & Allison Krauss. The cheapest tickets were $80 before parking & service charges. Reluctant
  5. Here's a link for the video I shot of Amyl & the Sniffers doing my favorite song by them "Knifey" if you're interested. I have a low end phone & was seated a bit back so I was using telephoto. You get the idea though. Almost lost my phone when I got tackled, luckily security helped me get it before it got smashed. Whew! I'm still hurting from getting tackled but it was worth it. Amy Taylor (singer) is a totally sweet & down to earth Australian lady. https://photos.app.goo.gl/AwGb3Buu1NfKAHqW7
  6. Before I had to retire I started work @ 5:00 AM. It seriously cramped my style! In some cases it wasn't worth going to bed before work.
  7. I saw an amazing show last night. Amyl & the Sniffers. They were like the Stooges with an awesome woman singer playing the role of Iggy Pop. I walked up to get my tickets (my buddy backed out at the very last minute so I gave the extra away. good karma) & Amy, the singer, was out talking to people in line. I got a picture with her & she was super sweet. The show was beyond packed & crazy. The club set me up with a seat on a barrier & I had a good vantage point. I was able to get a decent video of my favorite song by them, "Knifey". At the end of the song a drunk @$$hole dec
  8. Think my buddy in Great Falls may make the trek to the Bozeman show. It's a long drive but doable since the show is on a Saturday. & it's before snow season.
  9. In memory of my mom. This summer will mark the 30th anniversary of her passing. She was gone way too young. A melancholy day to be sure.
  10. Got some tickets for an Afghan Whigs club show in October. The tickets were reasonable at least until the service charges hit.
  11. Looks like I have to wait until November 16. I hope Particle Kid will still be the opener then.
  12. May the fourth be with you! Happy Star Wars Day!
  13. Too much money involved with guns. It's like cigarettes, too much money changing hands for laws to change.
  14. This has been out for awhile but if you haven't seen it I highly recommend "The Sparks Brothers".
  15. Flaming Lips/Particle Kid have postponed the whole northwest segment of their tour. COVID in the touring party. I was supposed to see them Wednesday. Just as well as I haven't been feeling too hot for the last week. Hoping they reschedule soon. I need a bit of escape & the Lips are excellent at providing that.
  16. I'm about 20 rows back. The ADA seats are a bit elevated so I don't have to stand if the crowd does. I can't do it. Same seats for Dylan were $150. Almost all the shows I have tickets for are in clubs with reasonable prices like Amyl & the Sniffers, Strand of Oaks & Mike Campbell. He was the most for a small show @ $50. I'd much rather see him play 2.5 hours on his own than 40 minutes as a opening act, so I got lucky on that one. I've got Flaming Lips with Particle Kid next week. The Lips always keep things real with the money. I've seen Neil in a lot of different guises too including
  17. I know what you mean. The presale was confusing. I ended up paying a bit under $100 a ticket for decent ADA seats. first 10 rows were $300. Bob Dylan was even more money. between those 2 I've pretty much blown the concert budget. i did get tickets for Isobel Campbell in a tiny club for $20. bargain! i've instituted a new policy. i'm not going to see "legacy" acts anymore. i need decent & recent material before i'm going to shell out. I'm also pretty much avoiding the special summer shows at wineries & such. they're all more expensive & the crowds obnoxious. wine, picnics, group hug
  18. Got my Crowded House tickets. Nice seats.
  19. Paul's Boutique is brilliant....
  20. I love Less Than You Think. Maybe for the Ghost anniversary shows!
  21. Crowded House US tour announced for the fall. Excited for this one!
  22. I got to meet Robbie Robertson. It was a pretty big thrill for me.
  23. Scored great tickets for Dylan in Seattle. Spendy though, it was actually a little past what I wanted to spend. I just got my tax refund though. I've been seeing him since 1978 & figure there's a good chance this will be the last time. I heard an incredible tape from earlier in the tour. He's doing almost all of Rough & Rowdy Ways which is a great thing
  24. I'll probably go for the 2 cd version. I'm on a fixed income & it's just not smart to spend huge money on this stuff even though I would enjoy it. I've bought YHF at least twice already. Long story.
