  1. PS: Crowded House have been selling well in the northwest regardless of the above. Neil has always done well around here going back to Split Enz days. There's a nice hard core following. I really hope they don't end up cancelling the tour.
  2. As we talked about I think the tour was overpriced. There are hardcore fans (like me, I paid Fleetwood Mac $ basically to see Neil & Mike Campbell) who will pay but the casual fan will hesitate. They might've been better off doing the summer wine & group hug circuit this summer. I'm hanging on to my tickets & hoping the delay isn't huge.
  3. Crowded House have postponed their North American tour. Evidently Elroy Finn has hurt his back. Bummer! https://www.nme.com/news/music/crowded-house-postpone-us-tour-following-elroy-finn-injury-3298242
  4. I was lucky & scored front row both nights on the Schmilco tour. Things have changed since then & I wouldn't be able to afford those seats now. I try to keep it real, haha.
  5. Saw a nice albeit toned down & short set (1.5 hours) by Drive-by Truckers Saturday. It was a FREE show for a celebration of local farmers & sustainable farming. I think it was a nice payday for the band from the county government. Wasn't much publicity for the show so it wasn't very crowded. We got a good "People Who Died" to end the set which I had never actually seen them play live. That alone made it worth the effort.
  6. Coldplay are embarrassing. Liked the first record when it came out but that wore off quickly.
  7. Sadly not going to see MMJ tonight. By the time you pay service charge & parking it's over $100 at a pain in the ass venue. I saw an amazing show in October that was far less than that. I'll leave it at that. My entertainment budget is going to baseball tickets right now. I saw a great game yesterday where my Mariners vanquished the evil Yankees. Feel good about us breaking the 20+ year playoff drought this year. It's fun when the team doesn't suck! Yesterday they had a Pearl Jam Ten Club promotion where I got a decent main level seat & a cool t-shirt for $40. Not bad! There were over
  8. Aside from the getting to Iceland part, looks spendy.
  9. Despite all the controversy with the Springsteen tickets I managed to score decent seats on the verified fan sale in about 10 minutes yesterday. I got ADA seats 4 rows back behind the stage. Those seats are actually pretty good for Bruce as he spends a lot of time playing to the people behind the stage. I got out of it for $260 (service charge included) for the pair. It was just within the budget I set for myself so I'm happy. It was better than I thought I'd do.
  10. I saw her open for PIxies pre-COVID & she was quite good.
  11. Hate to say it but right now I'd rather use my limited entertainment dollars for baseball tickets. Really enjoy that this year. We've got a good team & budding superstar in Julio Rodriguez. It's been over 20 years since we've been in the playoffs. I'm still going to some shows but as far as the big ticket ones go I've got RHCP because Frusciante is back & Roger Waters. I got lucky on Waters & got really good inexpensive tickets before COVID. Everything else is smaller. I'll probably bite on Springsteen but only if I can get the under $100 tickets. It's becoming more of a challenge

    Art-pop album

I want this bad! Fits in with my favorite Wilco stuff. Summerteeth, YHF, AGIB & some of Being There. Bring it on!
  13. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I've been sitting on my tickets since before COVID. I was able to score some pretty good seats in the lower price realm so I hung onto them. I've never been disappointed by a show from him going back to the original Wall. Pros & Cons didn't play here but I did see an excellent show on the Radio KAOS tour. Pretty sure this will be the last chance with him.
  14. Let us know how it is please. I'm not seeing him until close to the end of the tour.
  15. Yes, Bob can get a little loud, haha
  16. I really wish they would've stopped when Charlie died. Steve Jordan is a good drummer but he is wrong for the Stones. He doesn't swing. & Keith is losing it on guitar. His guitar signal is so processed that you really can't hear what he's actually playing. Ronnie is doing all of the heavy lifting on guitar these days. Some shows Mick actually sings, more he's shouting the whole show. Makes me sad. Maybe this tour will be it. I don't want them to embarrass themselves. Same for the Who.
  17. I was supposed to see Isobel Campbell (COVID notwithstanding) this week but she cancelled the whole tour.
  18. The big villains' in that seem to be LiveNation & AXS. Smaller promoters have far more reasonable fees. Here in Seattle, the Crocodile Cafe reopened in a new location & aren't affiliated with the big boys. Service charges are more like $10 a ticket or less.
  19. Thank you. I thought about going to the hospital a few times but gutted it out. This bout has me rethinking my concert strategy. I'll still go to a few shows but the bar is much higher now as to what I'll take a chance on. Except for RHCP, the summer is pretty clear. Things fire up in September. For instance, MMJ is playing soon & I'm going to skip it. I saw them in October & don't think they'll top that show given the venue they're playing soon.
  20. I did a test this morning & it came back negative, yay. Still pretty weak but at least that hurdle is cleared.
  21. I went to 2 shows last week (Mike Campbell & Bob Dylan, Mike was awesome & Dylan was middling Bob. I've seen him play better & seen him play worse). Woke up feeling really sick this morning. Took a home COVID test & sure enough, I've got it. Shocked I've lasted this long without getting it. Called my doc & she phoned in a prescription for Paxlovid to my pharmacy which I picked up no contact. Luckily I had stocked up on groceries as I was supposed to have a round of chemo on Tuesday. This blows my schedule all to hell but I feel like crap.
  22. Ice Age are definitely interesting
  23. I'd love an art pop record. Can you say "Summerteeth"? That was the first Wilco record I freaked out on. I liked the first 2 quite a bit but "Summerteeth" totally blew me away. I always say that it's their Brian Wilson record. Still love it. Probably my favorite Wilco record, followed by YHF & AGIB. That's not to say I don't like the other ones. They all have at least some good stuff. There's a few I like on the new one but maybe it could've used a bit of editing.
  24. I got tickets for them, too but it's not until the fall. Long time faves. I saw them back before they got their major label deal & have been a fan since. I think "Black Love" is 1 of the most criminally underrated records of all time. "Faded" still gives me chills after all these years.
