  1. Just watched ESPN 30 for 30 "Long Gone Summer". OK documentary about the race for the home run record between Sammy Sosa & Mark McGwire. I noticed the music for the film was pretty good. End credits: music by Jeff & Spencer Tweedy with additional drumming by Glenn Kotche. Solves that mystery!
  2. I think I'm way more ok with the current ads than with Volkswagen. Lot of shady things with Volkswagen, past & present.
  3. perfection! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUCzn_eMFF4
  4. don't think so. could be lost in killed brain cells though, haha. what a drag it is getting old....
  5. ya. he still brings it live from what i can tell but you can pretty much tell that MMJ isn't his primary focus anymore. i saw the rest of the band back Ray LaMontagne & they were excellent. way more interesting than Ray himself. maybe the band & Jim just needed a break from the grind. we'll hope for the best!
  6. how do people feel about this song being used in corona beer commercial?
  7. killer new Bob Mould song & video http://youtu.be/zD7TxGTPsV4
  8. Great pedal steel player with Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams to name a few. I knew him a little. A cool guy & fine musician. https://consequenceofsound.net/2020/05/bucky-baxter-steel-guitar-dead/
  9. just watched Colbert. very nice video! the song itself is pretty cool. different vibe.
  10. The track in the article below is outstanding. I think it's the best "isolation" video so far. Roger has a killer band & Lucius are so good. Roger looks like he is enjoying himself. Watch him, there's some humorous stuff if you lip read, haha. From what he says about next year's tour, sounds like it will not to be missed. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/roger-waters-social-distancing-pink-floyd-mother-1001107/
  11. An extremely funny man! https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-news/fred-willard-best-in-show-actor-dead-obit-1000942/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  12. It's been a few years since I've seen him but last time was fantastic. I've seen him a lot going back 1977. Have seen absolutely transcendent shows & some that weren't that, haha. Recent reports have just about all been great. I'm glad Charlie Sexton came back to the band. Great guitar player. Last show Bob didn't say anything but just stood at the front of the stage, arms crossed, nodding. Like "ya, i kicked your ass"!

  14. Judging by the first 3 songs, Bob is unleashing another, maybe final, masterpiece on us at age 79. False Prophet is stunning.
  15. Will have to get the aluminum pole out in his honour. RIP
