  1. The CDC has updated the list of symptoms for COVID-19. Previous list of symptoms: shortness of breath cough fever Additions to list: Chills Repeated shaking with chills Muscle pain Headache Sore throat New loss of taste or smell
  2. Nick has started a 24/7 youtube channel called Bad Seed Teevee in support of stay at home. Fabulous. Lots of great stuff: videos, concerts, interviews, documentaries. Link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbWdmZ7hXY4
  3. I like the new song, it bodes well for a new record (HA!). Overall though I think I will be spending more time with the new Dylan songs.
  4. Insane Clown Posse Cancel 2020 Gathering of the Juggalos Due to Coronavirus "We REFUSE to risk even ONE Juggalo life by hosting a Gathering during these troubling times." When Insane Clown Posse show better judgement than the president, you know we’re truly fucked.
  5. here's a paper by Bill Gates that was published today. https://www.gatesnotes.com/media/assets/media/files/Pandemic-I-The-First-Modern-Pandemic.pdf?WT.mc_id=20200423060000_Pandemic-Innovation_MED-media_&WT.tsrc=MEDmedia
  6. in a lot of cases, Ticketmaster hasn't been giving refunds if a show is postponed (even without make-up date). only shows that have been outright cancelled. i think the outcry & threatened lawsuits are changing that now. in the case of the stones, the tour was postponed. tickets ran into hundreds of dollars each even topping a thousand so people were upset. what made roger waters stand out at the time was his tour is still on albeit a year from now. like i indicated, roger personally intervened with ticketmaster & insisted that refunds be issued if the purchaser wanted the money back.
  7. I have tickets for Chris Stapleton/Margo Price/Mike Campbell in June & a rescheduled Drive-by Truckers in July. I have serious doubts as to whether those are going to happen or if they do whether I'm going to be comfortable going. Being high risk, think I'm going to be a bit squirrely for awhile. Fingers crossed for Nick Cave in October. Of note: Roger Waters postponed for a year but intervened with Ticketmaster to ensure that anyone who wanted a refund rather than wait are able to do so. There's been some ugly things going on with refunds for the Stones tour for instance. Early on during
  8. Roger personally stepped in to make sure that was happening. Check out his instagram page.
  9. i really liked the song, too. good direction for him. he's an unusual person & was going to march to his own drummer & not live on past glories

  11. Ya, that's a young man's game haha. I went as long as I could until the RA got me. I think the last time I did it was for the Replacements reunion show & Nick Cave about a month after that. I sit upstairs now, usually in ADA seats so that I can actually sit. It's a bitch of a disease. I got a few years on you, too.
  12. The whole Capital Theater show is up on youtube.
  13. Ya. I'm older than dirt. I have a friend who used to produce Sessions at AOL back in the day. She lives in NYC but when they did 1 for REM they did it in a studio in Vancouver. I got to go & hang all day with them. This was about circa Reveal. I found a clip of Nightswimming from that show on youtube. I was sitting about 3 feet from Michael Stipe for the whole show. In that video, you can see my feet sticking out, haha.
  14. they toured a bunch in the early days. that changed with Out of Time when they decided to take a break from the road. i was lucky to see them in smaller places. Document was the first time in an arena with NRBQ opening. that was a great show. best was @ the paramount in seattle for Life's Rich Pageant with Guadalcanal Diary opening. i just got a boot of that show that's pretty mighty. 1 of the encores Stipe came out with a ghetto blaster & performed We Don't Need Another Hero by himself. pretty wild.
  15. count me in too. hang in there
  16. I saw them on the Reckoning tour. First visit to Seattle. There's a pretty famous (&awesome) boot of that show around.
  17. welcome to our world. Trump is rather like the virus. his evil knows no borders.

  19. definitely prayers up for him
  20. i think the new record is ok. half the songs are pretty good, the other half kind of meh. maybe once they get played live they'll grow. seems to happen with pj a lot.
  21. The US army is turning the events/convention center attached to the football stadium where the Stones played last summer into a large field hospital in Seattle. It will be use for non COVID-19 patients to take some pressure off the local hospitals. I've been watching the daily briefing of the US task force with the president. It's quite a spectacle. I watched on CNN & as the president was throwing NY governor Cuomo under the bus there was screen crawl where Cuomo directly called the president a liar about ventilators being stored in a warehouse in NJ. There also seemed to be some discrep
  22. Murder Most Foul Bob Dylan Twas a dark day in Dallas, November '63 A day that will live on in infamy President Kennedy was a-ridin’ high Good day to be livin' and a good day to die Being led to the slaughter like a sacrificial lamb He said, "Wait a minute, boys, you know who I am " "Of course we do. We know who you are." Then they blew off his head while he was still in the car Shot down like a dog in broad daylight Was a matter of timing and the timing was right You got unpaid debts; we've come to collect We're gonna kill you with hatred; without any respect We'll mock you and shock you and
