  1. I saw Neil with POTR recently in Seattle. Have several show downloads from the west coast tour. This band is seriously mighty. Neil was busting out songs he hadn't played in 40 years ("Vampire Blues", "Time Fades Away" to name a few). It was as good as the Wilco show I saw 2 months earlier. I'm listening to the show I went to now. An unbelievable 27 minute "Down by the River". Setlists were changing nightly. Promise of the Real seem to have reenergized Neil & got him a little out of his comfort zone. The were doing 2.5 to 3 hour shows. The encore in Seattle was "Cinnamon Girl" followed by
  2. I've got an idea for an excellent tour next summmer. It would be an all day/night affair with everyone doing nice, long sets. Working title "Excellent Songs With Guitar". Here's my proposed lineup.: 1. Neil Young with Promise Of The Real 2. Wilco 3. Drive-By Truckers 4. My Morning Jacket What do you think?
  3. Thanks! I've got #47. Pretty cool. I've heard an audience tape of the Notorious Wilco Bros. show & that is pretty good too.
  4. I just bought my first download from the band. The Marymoor Park show because I went to it & it was a really great show. Very Nels-centric (thanks Doug). The quality of the recording is outstanding. Anybody have any recommendations of other shows that the band is selling? @ $9 a pop sadly have to be a little picky but want to get some more. Thanks
  5. This show is available to download in the Wilcoworld store. Sounds excellent! "Sunken Treasure" is amazing.
  6. I caught the tuning thing. I just thought that it added something really cool & different to the song. Some new places. I could see Jeff & Pat watching him & they seemed amazed. I generally like live music more because for me the interesting stuff comes out of problems. I'm might get killed for this here but I've heard (particularly later versions) "Impossible" kind of remind me of "Hotel California" in some ways. Not necessarily a bad thing but Tuesday was way more interesting. I've been into Wilco a real long time & seen them a lot. Probably 1 of my 3 favorite band/performers
  7. Nels Cline was unreal good. Maybe best "Impossible Germany" I've ever heard.
  8. My friend bailed out on me & I have an extra reserved seat ticket. Hoping to get the $60 I paid for it (I'll eat the service charge). Would have to meet at the show, as the tickets will be at will call. Row 24, Section B on the aisle. Please contact me at crholmstrom7@gmail.com. Am looking forward to the show! ticket is sold. was able to help a fan in town on business looking for a single. its all good!
