Well done! If I had it to do over again, I'd remove Hard is the Fall and add Station to Station to my list.

Surprised Paging Mr. Proust by The Jayhawks isn't getting much love. The Son Volt Live from The Bottom Line release from the Trace reissue was pretty stellar too. -
Cue the crickets...

I thought it was really cool that Benmont mentioned this too... I feel like Echo is Petty's forgotten album, and it's so strong from beginning to end.

I had family go about a month ago. They're wealthy (but not snobby) and they've traveled everywhere. They were underwhelmed... -
Have you met your musical idols...was it a good expierence?
Knight Rider replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
A friend once told me "trust the art; not the artist." Largely been true in my experience... 1. Mellencamp: I worked at the local music venue in the 90's delivering food backstage, so I met quite a few. He was an asshole. Loved his music at the time and I was 18, so I was crushed. 2. Pat Sansone: A buddies girlfriend who plays in a Chicago band got us backstage at the Wilco residency shows in 07 I think. My buddy went up to him to thank him and he totally blew us off once he realized my buddies sister wasn't there. 3. Jay Farrar: Contrary to what I've heard over and over again -
Very encouraging... Back Against the Wall really takes me back to the first three SV records.

My father in law steadfastly refused to believe that All Along the Watchtower was a Dylan song until I played him the original. I remember how surprised I was to find out that Blinded by the Light was a Springsteen song. I had heard the cover so many times as a little kid driving around with my mom in her Nova.
