  1. I imagine we'll see some cool "band members as Star Wars characters" illustrations in various magazine and newspaper reviews.
  2. Are the writing credits listed anywhere?
  3. Firestone Walker has been acquired by Duvel: http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/07/16/duvel-moortgat-firestone-walker-combine-companies/30275183/
  4. Sounds like the federal government needs to learn how to enforce existing laws before enacting new ones.
  5. Only as of a few minutes ago and only because the director just announced her resignation.
  6. One in fifteen Americans have had their Social Security numbers stolen by a hostile government. Everyone with a security clearance is now known to China. And it's not only the applicants, but their family members as well. Fingerprints, 10 years of work history, 10 years of home addresses, criminal records, education history, sensitive mental health histories, interviews with neighbors and co-workers, drug use history, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and much more. What a catastrophic blunder for the nation's security.
  7. The recent OPM hack by China is just about the biggest news story out there, but we're flooded with coverage of Confederate flags.
  8. Still waiting for the deepthroat gag. (Pun intended.)
  9. The key word is "person." I guess I'm ok with it if someone wants to blow off the whole day for a spot in the first row, but not if it's just one person trying to reserve a spot for several others who aren't around. It's fun to be up front, but watching people spread their arms out to "save" space just makes me shake my head.
  10. I just checked my PM and found that I had a typo in my area code; a guy in Puerto Rico was probably very confused. Sorry about that, I'm really mad at myself for not catching my mistake; I was really excited about trying that beer. Thanks again for making the effort. We can try again in 2 years.
  11. I texted the number in your PM several times Friday and Saturday. Didn't you get them? I figured that you were just tied up with the festival. I think I'm overloaded for tonight's flight home, so I'll probably have to leave some behind. Maybe I can find a homebrew store or pub where I can unload some stuff. Or I can just get really drunk in the airport parking lot...
  12. Nels tore it up with Cibo Matto yesterday. I'm looking forward to his performance with painter Norton Wisdom today, but I expect it to be a tough seat to obtain.
  13. Pete was really disappointed that the song didn't propel them into the charts.
  14. I found 12 cans of Heady Topper and 8 cans of Lawson's Sip of Sunshine. Also some other stuff I've never had. Just arrived at Mass MOCA for Day 2. I was the beer tent's first sale of the day. They applauded me.
  15. Today's forecast says there's a 90% chance of rain this evening. I'll stand in a drizzle with a poncho, but if it's an actual downpour then I'm outta there.
  16. No rain last night. A little cool, but the sky was clear.
  17. A can of Bat Outta Helles ruptured in my suitcase, so now all my shirts are quite aromatic. I'll be recognizable by the smell if I can't find a laundromat.
  18. My firstborn son didn't come with me, so I'll happily turn over some probably not worthy Texas beer. Looking forward to tomorrow's Vermont beer run.
  19. If it rains all weekend I might just blow off the festival completely and make my beer quest even more epic than originally intended.
  20. Just landed at O'Hare. Time to find some chow and a cold beverage to help pass the 4.5-hour layover.
  21. Thanks for the tips! I made a map of Friday deliveries and plan to head out early. I wish I had a companion so that I could double up at the places that have a 1 or 2 4-pack limit.
  22. I'll be bringing these local Texas beers to Solid Sound if anyone would like to trade for their local craft beer or just help me drink them. Either way, they ain't going home with me.
  23. I'll be bringing these local Texas beers to Solid Sound if anyone would like to trade for their local craft beer or just help me drink them. Either way, they ain't going home with me.
  24. What's the over & under for Jeff Tweedy mentioning the ashes of confederate flags from the stage at Solid Sound this week? So where do we stop in our quest to avoid even the slightest connection to slavery, racism or fascism? I guess Spandau Ballet will be changing their name soon and if the Washington Redskins organization isn't having an urgent meeting at this very moment I'll eat my hat.
