So, I think I've got it figured out: disregarding nostalgia, the mono versions are pretty much pointless.

Great shot of Iommi's hands - the thimble or whatever he puts over the middle (and index?) finger is clearly visible. I'm surprised his upcoming surgery isn't a result of that old injury.

Well I didn't purchase it, but I gave it a spin after reading a couple of rave reviews...and barely made it to the end. Had that noisy, every-instrument-in-your-face sound that pop radio loves these days. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shake. I really like the album cover though.

I didn't mean Obama should've engaged in a back and forth with Wilson - I meant it seemed like the kind of 'teachable moment' he talks about. All he replied with was 'That's not true.' Well, he knows there is a loud, doubtful percentage of the population which feels exactly the way Wilson felt at that moment. He could've used the outburst to his advantage, and addressed the sentiment directly.

I woke up today to BBC radio coverage of the speech, and patiently waited for them to address the outburst. Then it hit me - 'Oh. Right...Brits.'

I listened to nothing but YLT on my busride home to Boston from NYC this weekend. It was perfect hungover/tired/not gonna sleep/sun falling music. (Haven't heard Popular Songs)
