  1. Was that text sent from John Henry's phone?
  2. 'Crime In The City' man, now there's a song with atmosphere.
  3. Same here - damn intriguing review too! That looks interesting - I haven't heard of it. What did you think? Saw Slumdog Millionaire yesterday. While no film can live up to blurbs like "I'll keep this simple - cancel whatever you're doing tonight and go see SM" (Boston Globe), this one comes about as close as I can imagine. Love capital L.
  4. I have to check this out. I dig TTT and Lucy Pearl, plus his work on D'Angelo's Voodoo alone gives him legend status for me.
  5. I tried to fit The Dead in, but it felt burdened.
  6. "Favorite post-1980 Neil Young album to listen to while contemplating where to start with The Band"
  7. There's a whole other thread - my last new release cassette was The Cult's Ceremony.
  8. I feel the same way. Some other gems on there: One Of These Days, Old King, Dreamin Man, Unknown Legend...
  9. Since Ringo laid down the bassline on Pink Floyd's "Money" (look it up).
  10. I always thought they gave up on Bard too quickly.
  11. Gran Torino - not subtle in any sense of the word, but still engaging and surprisingly funny.
  12. Just spent an hour on the couch looking at the tree and listening to this. Great, great mix. Thank you.
  13. You'd rather see them somewhere bigger? Or is it the ticket scramble you're not looking forward to...
  14. At least Yankee fans will have someone new to hate/blame/call "not a real Yankee" if he bombs.
  15. I bought my 14-year-old nephew for Christmas this: And made him disc copies of: The Clash London Calling Sandinista! Live at Shea The Singles He's deep into Zeppelin/Floyd - it's time for the next level.
  16. I've used it a couple of times at school to check IE compatibility on sites I'm designing. Seems pretty reliable.
  17. I've had enough of U2 playing the biggest band in the world game, so if this record is more in sync with Zooropa and (gasp!) Passengers, I'll be right chuffed.
  18. I think a factor that's easily overlooked is these guys are getting millions of dollars a year for a limited number of years. It's not like they're continuing to get an MLB salary once they're finished.
