  1. Plus we get Joan's peerless Bob impression in a couple of scenes. I'd recommend Anthony Scaduto's Dylan book, Tweedling. If you can find it. I don't know how reputable it is, but it focuses on the early years, and Dylan himself said about it "I like your book, that's the weird thing."
  2. Yeah, because everyone else here's thoughts and stances are so fluid and open to the possibility of change.
  3. Even the magazine argument scene? Helluva good flick.
  4. Yeah I saw that a couple of nights ago. Almost shocking how many laughs are in it.
  5. One of the big reasons I visit here less is the upgrade the board got a few years back that made quoting posts a goddamned chore. Really.
  6. That peach had some effect!
  7. I lost one job and very nearly another because I posted here so much from 2005-2008. At one point I calculated a 17 posts per day average. Thank God things changed. Now - come at me, Louie! You're halfway there.
  8. Plus it's got a camel on the cover, the opener is a self-referential statement previously unimaginable in their career, there's a merely passable duet with a less-than-stellar guest, the album title blows, etc.
  9. Some people have been here for almost ten years. If it was all sunshine positive all the time, that wouldn't be the case.
  10. Seriously. It was a video interview - can't one goddamned news outlet create a different fucking screengrab?
  11. I can understand not being moved by the music - the arrangements and Dylan's seeming indifference to it all (which I don't think he gets really - he thinks he's putting on a helluva show, I'm sure). So isn't it possible you would've been disappointed in any setlist?
  12. Iggy Pop, the guy from the Chrysler commercial?
  13. Yeah, according to the Dylan site's setlists, Like A Rolling Stone was usually the second or third song around that time.
  14. You have to admit, that was a good line.
  15. She's not kidding. Give it to her.
  16. No, you keep bringing it up because you refuse to accept the (rational) reasoning for the shows being kept private. Don't pretend you're on some selfless mission to have more charity dollars raised. You said earlier "I get it" but you obviously don't.
  17. Your attitude is really becoming repellent here Bart. Let it go.
  18. I wasn't talking about their music though. I was thinking of Wilco coffee and shit like that.
