  1. Nevermind is in their top ten albums of the 90s list.
  2. http://ask.metafilter.com/164257/The-ungoogleable-image
  3. Aerosmith (and Cheech & Chong and AC/DC) outtakes from V-66 (Boston's non-cable version of MTV back in the day): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1PGCo5otUY
  4. Smells Like Teen Spirit at #1 of any list = instant yawn. No matter how good the song is, and no matter how wrong it is not to put it at #1, it's boring to top a list with it.
  5. Me too - hand on my heart, I listened to that song a few weeks ago and the thought occurred to me: Is this the best song of that decade? Good top ten - Loser totally deserves a spot in there, and Common People at #2? Excellent.
  6. Well they really went over the top with the 60s pop culture references this week with that egregious placement of Clarence Birdseye in the Cleo scene.
  7. This movie is so good even Burt Lancaster is bearable.
  8. There's a thread for YouTube: http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/30278-now-watching-on-youtube/
  9. So Avatar is back in theaters. Maybe I'll finally see it.
  10. Way back in the day, my skater friends, who were into bands like The Descendents, Gang Green and The Meatmen, were into The Goo Goo Dolls for a split second. That's all I got.
  11. Or anything really, besides hardware, food and shelter.
  12. Plus there's the constant conundrum for TB fans: I like baseball, my team is doing well, but to see them play I have to go to Tropicana Field.
  13. I'll bet that LENNONNYC doc will include a lot of the footage I saw at the R&R Hall of Fame Annex show I saw last year(?) - totally worth tuning in, if so.
  14. Shit! Me too. My brother, too. Wild.
  15. You just gotta be plum outta your mind if you don't like 'Mind Games'.
  16. And so begins the legend of Strasburg and 'what could have been.'
  17. The only real writing I've gotten done in the past year plus has been when I had no access to the web. Not just choosing to stay off the web, I mean literally no access.
  18. Fresh Air story This is interesting stuff. For awhile I've been preoccupied with the "screen invasion" this guy talks about.
  19. The dancing apparently induced the hard nips on her, so I had no issues with it.
  20. There's a lot of breathtaking imagery of our mundane world sped up to invoke the beauty of it all, or something. It helps if you really dig the tune, which I did/do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4tD8dy9Reg
