  1. I've sold Wilco tickets (Purdue show in 07) through Stub Hub and I'd advise you to contact Stub Hub. So they are hard tickets, but with a different website under the venue info etc? Hmm, odd. It may be someone that f'ed up at TM. (as said by Sir Stewart above) There is a slim chance that they are fakes and someone sly thought that Wilco's site was in fact Wilco.com. But that's one problem with Stub Hub, you don't know who you buy from until it comes in the mail. Is there a return address on the envelope? I don't remember what the envelope is supposed to say, since I sent out my Purdue ti
  2. World's Greatest Dad Who knew that that person up top would have directed one of the best black-as-coal comedies to come out in quite some time? Daryl Sabara (the kid from Spy Kids) is amazingly spot on as the masturbating, pissed off because I'm a teenager, son of Robin Williams. At a certain point in the film Bobcat pulls back the lense only to move the magnifying glass closer. I won't spoil anything about the plot, but it's worth checking out. Plus, there's a running Bruce Hornsby joke that pays off. Also, it gives Grosse Pointe Blank a run for its' money for using Under Pressure in on
  3. Speaking of not having any emails (no HQ email for me) or such notice, isn't it odd that there's no official listing for that Boston Orpheum show yet? I've checked Live Nation, Ticketmaster, & the Oprheum site (which is actually the one in RI) and there's nothing. Today they put up the Concord show on the venue site. If I never came here, this would seem very last minute especially if I don't read the paper or check online for a favorite band of mine to tour my city. Edit: Actually, Live Nation just added the Wilco show for Boston....BUT they mistakenly listed it as April 1st.
  4. I think that we got overpriced by $2 for the Concord tickets. It says $35 on the official site and venue site. And it says $37 day of show which is what we got charged. $2 isn't much but if everyone today got charged that and people pay $35 on Friday than that's kind of unfair. I'd assume to email Front Gate and not the venue. Edit: I just called Front Gate and the young woman told me that it was a surcharge for the presale? On top of the service fee (10 or 5 per ticket?) and shipping cost (8.50 or 4.25 per ticket) it seems odd. I guess I paid $4 for the comfort of not dealing with buyin
  5. LOL I just tried for Boston and threw back the seat directly next to me Orchestra Rear Center Seat 205, so it's there people! And you can sit next to me.
  6. My friend via text message got a ticket to Boston at 10:50. Orchestra Row K So keep trying VCers.
  7. Yeah, 2007. I was thinking that this is an appetizer to a proper Boston summer show in that same venue in say July or August or September. The Orpheum is just way too small for all of the Boston fans to fit in.
  8. Anyone else notice that we got charged the DAY OF price for Concord tickets? I think I saw $35 on the official venue site and via Higher Ground. Hmm. Oh well, but $2 adds up quick when you buy a pair.
  9. Thanks! On my "curious" search for what was left in Concord, I did 3 searches. And in my box I had 3 tickets for all 3 searches and I was like "WTF"!! $130 buckeroos! So make sure that if you find a ticket that you don't like X it out of your queue before you X out of your web browser. This may be how tickets are stuck in cyberspace?
  10. Anyone else get a single Boston ticket like me around 10:30a.m.? I hardly ever go to Orpheum, so I forget where the 200 seats begin. I think I understand the seating chart.
  11. Whoa! (cue surprised Neo) I got one for Boston. Row M seat 206. Now I need to logon to see my seat.
  12. Same thing happened to me. I was being "logged out" for security purposes? Only once did I get to see it done by seats and by price, so I finally got to see the words : sold out.
  13. I got my 1st priority 2 tickets to Concord. Row R Seats 101/102 which are on the aisle! I am still pulling up nothing for Boston. I'm only looking for one too. Make sure that you click on the X next to the ticket if you want to not keep them. I looked for more Concord after out of curiosity and found Row J & M. Anyone see any Boston tickets as of 10:17? I only saw an option to buy 1 then no option?
  14. Are James Cameron, Alan Moore, and Pierre Culliford behind these new body scanners?
  15. Really? Cool! Well, I'll still stick with going to Boston & Concord. I'll save my money for (The Summer Tour)
  16. This really would have changed the overall tone of Up In The Air. Ryan Bingham : I travelled 10 million miles, but now I'm dying of radiation poisoning.
  17. Make sure she gets/picks a great internship site. It's mighty tough to find a stable job in that industry. Friends of mine interned at MTV, VH1, Daily Show, etc. I chose to stay close to home and save on 3-4 month's rent on no pay. I interned at AVID which was awesome, but I didn't get any free software like the last guy. Feel free to drop me a line if you want any tips on that stuff. MA is a hotbed of activity as I'm sure you've heard.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iIYRZWBd9Y One of the Best youtube videos I've ever seen! Stick with it all the way through. Edit: Oh yeah, you got to love his "disclaimer" that he shot this all "by himself". Keep dreaming pal.
  19. I'm guessing that they play Sonny Feeling on Ferguson since he tapes his show in sunny Los Angeles.
  20. VC Weighs in on An Evening With Vs. Special Guests Hmm. No. Highly doubtful.
  21. One thing that I would like to point out about Inglourious Basterds is that the running time is so briskly paced. Isn't it though? I think I can count in my head the number of scenes (or locations if you will) in the film. When you really think about it there aren't that many. And for a film that runs close to 2 and a half hours that says something about Tarantino's strengths as both a writer and director.
  22. "ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick tweets, "I just heard that Red Sox have talked to the Mets about a Mike Lowell-for-Luis Castillo trade. Not sure how serious it is." He adds that Lowell is expendable with Adrian Beltre in the fold. Also, with Castillo gone, the Mets could go after Orlando Hudson. The deal certainly clears an unwanted player for both teams. But while it is easy to see Lowell getting some at-bats for the Mets at first, and even spelling David Wright at third base, where Castillo fits in- given his poor defense at second base, and the existence of Dustin Pedroia- with Boston is harde
  23. I don't remember. I seem to recall not needing one, but thinking that we would a la the old way. I am logged into the site ready to go! I think the layout will change Wed 10am to buy tix. Of course, I could be wrong. And where's the official Wilcoworld HQ Email? Anyone get one?
