  1. According to the internet it's all speculation. People say that she wore "prosthetic breasts" due to her character being pregnant (strange I know). Other people say that she had a breast lift. Others say that she's always been like that, but she got pregnant around that time and that made the difference. Her name is Julie Benz. Not to be confused with Julie Bowen.
  2. Yes, you are correct. But it's also a commentary on the treatment of women as they get older in Hollywood. So it's funny to hear an awards show named the Golden Globes (picture Christina Hendricks above) and then it's followed by the SAG Awards (picture anything you want). (Sandra Bullock handed out the Lifetime Achievement Award to Betty White at the SAGs and she mentioned how amazing it was for a woman to be in Hollywood for over 6 decades.) Edit: In fact, there's a myth/conspiracy theory that some # of actresses who have won the Best Actress Oscar (maybe in the past decade or 20 years) ha
  3. Isn't it funny how we go from the Golden Globes to the SAG Awards? Only in Hollywood,
  4. Daybreakers - I really was looking forward to this for quite some time. I'm not a vampire lover, but this movie looked amazing in its' rich architecture, cinematography, color palette & lighting. I can safely say that this film did not disappoint. There was one legitimate scare that really was unlike anything I'd seen in a long time. It was mostly due to the non use of CGI and the use of a man in an "advanced/mutated" vampire suit. The sound design was very well done too (a lot of sounds of bats and other scary stuff to heighten the mood). Also, the score seemed really sure of itself (s
  5. When they start using Side With The Seeds for a lawn care/landscaping company I'm out.
  6. Somewhere I wish that Quentin Tarantino is reading this exact article and is gong to make a crazy movie out of it. I can't wait for the intense interrogation scene of Laurel and he breaks down crying. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc52OMftJSk
  7. The Link Carlos Laurel, 31, and Andre "Sug" Hardy, 39, of Lincoln Street, face eight charges related to cocaine trafficking. Police arrested Laurel and Hardy after they showed up at a Kingston residence and allegedly delivered 50 bags of cocaine to the unidentified occupant Tuesday at about 5:53 p.m. Police estimate street value of the cocaine was $2,500. Hardy, who is on federal parole for previous cocaine distribution charges, also had 10 bags of marijuana hidden in his waistband, cash and a cell phone. Laurel is on Luzerne County probation until 2013 and has been previously arrested on dr
  8. I want you to stay away as far as you can from Barnes & Noble. Please! They are the MOST overpriced place for dvds. Even with their "discount card" you still end up paying a lot more than Best Buy. It's sad because they have a nicer collection of films than Best Buy. I want to hang out at B & N and tell people in the dvd section, "Hey, pssst...across the street there's a Best Buy...you see this (holds up Norbit dvd) you can get this so much cheaper." - But I have a discount card. "Ok, let's do the math. 10% off of $29.99 is $27.00. You can go and buy Norbit across the street at Be
  9. Thinking out loud: ..... OK. I was thinking about this and discussing this with my friends after tonight's episode of The Tonight Show. I suggested that Conan should consider signing with Comedy Central. Imagine Conan being the lead in to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. That's right. Imagine Conan succeeding with a talk/variety show at 10p.m. I think it would strengthen both The Daily Show & The Colbert Report which have gone down since the election (in terms of ratings). Thoughts?

  11. The SRP is $29.99 which means suggested retail price. Most dvds when they first come out (Best Buy/Target etc.) usually go for around $13.99-16.99 depending on title. I wouldn't worry about this disc going for $30, but I understand your point about the Criterion Collection. I'm sure eventually all of his discs will be on there. Whether or not that's completely necessary is up to anyone's liking.
  12. Thanks! You know I had an idea about VC making some sort of communal donation to Haiti, but I'm not sure how to get around the logistics of it. I was thinking of maybe getting Owl & Bear involved and making a "Tree" of their shows to the VC members and then donating money per disc or show. Say one person takes show A and makes some amount of copies and sends it to those who "donate" for it. Then someone collects the money after it's been finalized. I obviously don't speak for Owl & Bear, but I don't know if people would be willing to go for say VC calendars instead. People might

  14. I take it you took a fancy to the use of skis in a modern day motion picture.
  15. In case if no one knew the news: Neil Young is the musical guest tonight on Conan. Perhaps he'll play The Network & The Damage Done.
  16. Hot Tub Time Machine Red-Band Trailer NSFW Edit: Well, this still looks great but it looks like that they changed (improvised) some of the great lines in the script that I read. Definitely not something to watch if you don't want any jokes spoiled. This was the strong suit (more of a plot setup than jokes) of the original green band trailer as posted above. But for those curious of its "R" rated nature then take a look.
  17. I agree with what Runaway Jim wrote. It even drove one of his most avid fans apeshit when he gave a glowing review to Nicolas Cage's Knowing. Ebert, I think, even put it on his Top Ten List of 2009. I loved the movie, since it challenged our ideas of what an alien or angel would be. (i've said too much. ) Furthermore, my 1st gig as a PA on Daddy's Girl, which became known as The Game Plan, I worked with someone who looked exactly like him. It was uncanny. No one believed me. There was no photographic evidence, until Facebook came along. People laughed and were like "WOW?!" It's so odd the r
  18. 2009 - OKLAHOMA CITY — A woman has been fined $1,142 after pleading no contest to prostitution charges after she was accused of accepting a box of chips for sex. Police say they arrested 36-year-old Lahoma Sue Smith in southeast Oklahoma City after finding her in her car with a man who told officers he knew he could find a prostitute in the area.
  19. 1st off which is which? Edit: Nevermind, I realized that balcony means mezzanine in Hartford. Are the 1st tix listed for the Orpheum? I have a friend who missed out on the Orpheum show and he only needs 1 ticket and I'm sure it's too early to break up your pair. Let me know.
  20. I meant to put up this link last night for TV Gawker. They have all of the best late night bits over the past few weeks. They arrange clips by night and also by show. TV Gawker The Late Night Wars 2: Electric Boogaloo Check out Norm MacDonald's guest appearance on Conan from last night. It's very funny. Also, Dave's analysis of Jay's "plea" is amazing.
  21. I read an article in The Boston Globe today that mentioned that there's a stronger possibility that Conan may end up on FX and not FOX. Oh, look I found the article. Conan On FX? & Louis C.K. on Conan Edit: FX appears to be a wiser choice with their programming of 10p.m. shows, BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT am I the only one who is fucking confused as to their sporadic nature of when they'll be on? Meaning take shows like Nip/Tuck & Damages, both seem to come and go when they please. This really doesn't help Conan I think. A lot of those basic cable shows seem to run by their own schedu
  22. When I lived in MA, I received MA Health before I moved to NH. I had just gotten out of college and had no significant job leads. I was in shit county and needed something. Luckily, I lived in a state that offered free care. Needless to say when I received it, I felt like I was carrying a secret to keep to myself out of some sort of shame. I didn't manipulate it or take advantage of It at all. In fact, I think I only made one visit to my primary care physician and that was to check my blood for diabetes. Once I did get a job, at a fucking movie theater no less, I had to wait about 6 months to
  23. Of course, the following contradicts with what jff did: From George W. Bush last Saturday, "Some of you may want to send your clothes or send us your blankets, but we really want your cash." Picture these words coming out of his mouth added with his signature smirk and you can sort of understand how bad this came out.
