Communication consists of transmitting information from one person to another. A sender (Obama) transfers a message (State of the Union Address) to a receiver (everyone in attendance and at home etc.). Check it out yo! The White House used technology of television, newspapers, and the internet to mass communicate to 48 million Americans. Viewers have limited control over the content of which that they receive. Receivers can apply meaning to the message that they receive. Receivers also have the means of communicating back not to the sender (directly) but through other channels (Twiiter, CNN, P

Jesus, Etc. would be nice sung by a woman. I think if you tried At Least That's What You Said or Sunken Treasure you would be compelled to rock out at the end with air guitar and get an F. Not to mention the former song is pretty short without that amazing ending.

I'm hearing that You And I will be done with Rosie O'Donnell doing Feist's parts. -
Hello Folks, I am looking to buy a ticket for my friend who got shut out of the Boston show. He is going to Concord, NH and still wants to see them the night before. I know I created a monster. So if you have a single ticket to sell let me know. I use paypal.

That's because this is obviously the beginning of "repairing" the Jay Leno "nice guy" image. Jay even mentioned it to Oprah that that is what he has to do now. Sadly, most folks won't realize that this is exactly what they are watching with the cringe inducing cut-to-commerical-slo-mo-shots of Jay. This is coming off as very Dr. Phil (at least what little I've seen of his show). (meaning: we probably won't see Jay do another interview like this because there will be plenty of soundbites to last a long time) I'm sure we'll hear from Conan sooner than we think. I'm guessing Conan will do a sim

My best friend had literally just started rereading A People's History & Catcher In The Rye last week. Strange. I told him to start reading Glenn Beck's book to see what would happen.

Excellent! Thanks for the link! Edit: One problem. Actually 2 problems. Big Business and Houses In Motion do not play for the whole duration of time as listed on my iTunes? It jumps to the next tracks. I assume they downloaded just fine. Anyone else have this problem?

I was an extra in The Invention Of Lying. I was in the scene where Ricky comes out of the bank the 1st time. You can barely see me and the guy next to me walking down the street, but I'm sure you could if you slowed it down. In fact, that guy and myself chatted with Ricky in between a shot. He was very nice.I told him, "Good luck with the film". His quick dry reply, "Eh..it'll probably go straight to dvd anyways!" LOL. But yeah this was filmed in my hometown of Lowell, MA. Pretty cool to have that film there and then a year later The Fighter filmed there too and of course Wilco played the ball

Via Ain't It Cool News: "“Leno” is getting no boost from the news its star is retaking “The Tonight Show.” The show matched its very low Monday nadir, losing not only to ABC’s “Castle” at 10 p.m. but also a repeat of CBS’ “CSI Miami,” USA’s “WWE Raw,” and History’s “Pawn Stars.” NBC just announced that primetime’s “Leno” is leaving Feb. 9, two days earlier than planned. The 10 p.m. slot will be filled on Feb. 10 and 11 by repeats of “SVU” and “The Office.” A bit odd to end the show on a Tuesday? I'm still interested to see Jay's Tonight Show numbers when he returns. I'm guessing they won't

Happy Birthday! And why did she get the bigger cake?

Happy 100th Birthday! It's pretty neat that they let you get out of your room and onto a computer to chat. Go easy on the lime jello!

For people that can't afford college after high school it should be recommended to watch Jeopardy 5 nights a week for 4 years.

Why ESPN? I say Pay-Per-View. $24.95 I am rooting for the Saints. It's not just because I'm a Patriots fan, but because I'd like to see Drew Brees win a ring. And because my best friend had 2 classes with him in Purdue. (although, they were giant lecture halls) Edit: In fact, I keep forgetting that I went to college with someone who became famous in the NFL. The poor guy who got caught filming for the Patriots was in my 1st Film class in college and he was our actor for our 1st film. When I say "our" I mean that he was in our 3 person crew. In the film he ends up killing himself due to h

Speaking of Jason Bay there was an interesting article in this Sunday's Boston Globe about his knees and shoulder which made the Red Sox pass on him. So I imagine playing in big Citi FIeld is going to ruin his knees quicker. Jason Bay - Boston Globe January 24, 2010

I hope that the A's get a clean pair of Sheets. Also, I didn't realize that Miguel Tejada is back with the Orioles. But this time to play 3rd base. Lastly, I just noticed that Joel Pineiro is now with the Angels. Bad move. That guy was born to play for the NL and work at Papa John's. I didn't read any of this on here (i don't think) and forgot to check out MLB Trade Talk in the past few weeks. I guess it's a bit easier to come here for the latest transactions.

I don't believe The Edge at all. Songs Of Ascent was supposed to be released at some point this year. Maybe they're working on those songs? Furthermore, they have an unreleased album done with producer Rick Rubin. Maybe they're working on those songs? Never trust Bono or The Edge when they talk about "making a new album".

He says that he is handing over The Tonight Show to Conan in 5 years and that's it. He doesn't want a repeat of the Dave-Jay "Late Night Wars" over the Tonight Show in 92. Then he said that Wilco is an amazing band. Edit: (Personally, I don't put much stock into what is said here 6 years ago. The equivalent would be someone being interviewed and videotaped and saying that they would vote for Obama again in 2012. And then in 2012 they go the other way due to what has happened in the time in between. It's an interesting watch, but I don't think Jay or Conan expected this brouhaha in 2004.)

Wilco on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson January 28
u2roolz replied to u2roolz's topic in Just A Fan
For those out in Los Angeles who are looking to attend the taping here is some info: Late Late Show Tickets You'll notice on that link that Wilco is not listed, but they were there about a week or so ago as being on the 3p.m. taping at CBS Television City in Los Angeles on this Thursday the 28th. (I attended a taping for Ferguson in 06 and I also ended up seeing Craig Kilborn before he left in Dec 03.) We get to sit through Rosie O'Donnell to get to Wilco. -
In those 1st set of pics he looks like Eddie Izzard in a wig and fake handlebar mustache.

One thing that I noticed RE: London Show: according to iTunes FIle Info it lists it as 23 tracks and Walken is track 22? Either way I am more than pleased for these 2 amazing sounding shows. Thanks again!
