  1. RE: Wilco (The Album) Maybe Wilco's new album is buried under a giant W? Look, why don't we just start digging for it?
  2. Nice Cover! There seems to be a recent trend with having animals on the covers. MA 2: that cat AGIB: an egg presumably from a chicken SBS: a flock of birds W(TA): a camel Does anyone fear a lawsuit in 8 years where all these animals come together to sue for royalties? We'd like to call to the stand the creepy Summerteeth guy? These Marina Towers don't talk. Kristofor PS Who's hand is that on Being There ?
  3. Ari Gold is the first thing that popped into my mind when One Wing and Speed Racer talked about someone on their cell phone. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is the first thing that that popped into Ray Stantz' mind when thinking about the last thing that could hurt NYC. Kristofor
  4. (Maybe Jim actually took my advice.) Wow, talk about being delusional. This is one of the first Pitchfork reviews I've read in full. This guy sounds like he seriously thinks that musicians actually take what he says into thought on their next album. He really seems like he thinks he's as powerful on a level as a Fox News or CNN. Kristofor
  5. I used to be a movie snob somewhat. I went through a period where I hated everything that I saw. About 3 years or so ago, I lightened up. I tend to avoid any movie reviews nowadays. I've spent enough time on this planet to know what I should tend to see and what I should run away from (miley cyrus). Music is a bit of a different thing altogether. I tend to rely on friends and friends of friends to hear about new bands or older artists I may have missed while bingeing on The Clash. Yeah, some of those friends may be influenced by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and whatever publication shapes minds
  6. Speed Racer! I think when I hear that song hopefully this summer, I'll laugh thinking of these new lyrics. Kristofor
  7. I couldn't find any of those funny Naked Gun (Dodger game umpired by Frank Drebin) mailman/dog and Jewish/Palestinian shaking hands/hugging pictures. Kristofor Edit: Guys if you're out there leak the album. So we can argue about that.
  8. Hey, I myself like Sir Stewart and Speed Racer have driven like a madman to this song. I don't know what it is about it, but I'm guessing if my car flips over and the rescue team comes over the song will still be in the awesome guitar solo part. I also noticed someone saying that their favorite versions are from 12/6 and 12/7 of 2002. I haven't heard those yet, but if H
  9. Hey All, Well, I feel bad for Jay Bennett. I've read about his recent health issues. But this lawsuit doesn't make much sense. I know from being an extra in 2 motion pictures (in order to be paid you need sign an agreement form to provide your services to be shown even as a background extra) and doing some college films that getting/obtaining permission is something I'm pretty sure Sam Jones and Trixiefilms got from Jay Bennett. I mean he was being filmed for a documentary. Otherwise, if this was an issue back than we probably wouldn't have seen IATTBYH. Furthermore, this seems like an obvio
  10. Onan, Your post made me laugh. It also gave me an idea. A Scavenger Hunt for the new Wilco record. It sounds silly, but if it were to be done in the big cities or even in smaller college towns it'd get word out from us the fans that a new Wilco album is about to come out. I'd even say that there'd be some sort of fee to play to be donated to a charity of choice. It'd be fun and a nice way to experience your city/town with fellow Wilco fans. Though I don't think viral marketing and Wilco go together, I think it'd be a nice idea...maybe obnoxious but it's better than having it leak onto your
  11. Thanks Preferred B. Kristofor PS Not that it matters now, but does anyone recall the blog site? If someone remembers, maybe we should check that every so often.
  12. Hey All, Quick question that popped into my head when thinking about a leak. Do any of you recall there being a 3 song sample going around for Sky Blue Sky before the leak? Sorry, if this was mentioned. I remember having 3 songs to play from the album for awhile before anything leaked officially through Wilcoworld.net. I think it was Either Way, You Are My Face, and Walken. Kristofor PS It may have been from a radio station most likely.
  13. LOL. I was coming here to see if there was any new news on the board. A lot of this talk reminds me of another type of phenomena: trying to get someone to watch a particular show you like and they won't do it at all. The same can be said for any band you can pull out of your head. But anyways, I have friends of mine who love Seinfeld religiously and they will not watch Curb Your Enthusiasm even if I lent them a DVD for over a year. Not sure if it's because they didn't feel like they discovered it so they tend to avoid it. Another friend refuses to watch Mr. Show even though he likes similar
  14. Wow, I come on here for the first time today and the first place I clicked I noticed an old post of mine being used to help out some folks out with the bonus downloads. I hope people are lucky with them. Thanks, Kristofor
  15. Hey Zebra, I'm pretty sure I"ve seen Pat play acoustic guitar during Muzzle Of Bees from behind his keys. Kristofor
  16. Hey All, So I was reading for one of my classes with the television on and Carson Daly came on. He interviewed these 2 guys who run a restaurant called Animal I think out in LA. Anyways, throughout this whole segment Wilco's music was used. Not sure what Wilco has to do with making Lamb Neck besides Blood Of The Lamb. The songs that were used were: Can't Stand It, At Least That's What You Said, Pot Kettle Black, Muzzle Of Bees, ELT, and Side With The Seeds. Not groundbreaking news at all but pretty strange and cool that 6 songs were used. Thanks, Kristofor PS I think there's a sma
  17. Hey Everyone, Well, I slept on something that occurred to me last night about the interviews. It stemmed from popping in a Lost bonus disc. Sunday nights are pretty boring, so pretty much anything can go into the player. Anyways, I watched a little bonus feature about The Guns On Lost. And you know what it made sense. It made sense because the documentary film crew must have been feeding the actor's about who had what gun and so on. So me as a viewer understood where a gun that showed up in Season 1 wound up in Season 4. But because of this it felt kind of manufactured and phony, even it if
  18. Hey, Quick thought that I forgot to mention. Did anyone like the fact that Canty & Green shook up the songs enough so that we didn't know what was coming? I mean, I know we have the songs in front of us. But it was nice to hear certain songs separated from where they usually are in concert. I feel bad for those few people who are casual Wilco fans and who don't know about VC or a typical setlist. So after this dvd convinces those people to check out Wilco live, how many of them will head for the doors once War On War finishes thinking that that's the last song? Ha. Or thinks that Twee
  19. !goose!, I guess I did, since I skipped over the interview portions the second time around. That's pretty much what's different about the extras - just a simple black fade for a second. But to answer your question more seriously. I'm not sure. I think both groups of songs are tough to pick which I enjoyed better. But I did like not having to worry about pushing the menu button. Kristofor
  20. Hey Everyone, Well, I love the DVD. But I do share some critiques that people have bravely shared with us. I do feel that they could have went further with their theme and it sort of went away. As someone who has tried to document his friend's musical career, I realize the difficulty of actually presenting something to be seen and/or consumed. I'll talk about this really quick. I got my degree in film and had a documentary class. I decided to interview my musician friend and film him live which I had been doing for awhile. Well long story short the documentary is pretty rough. This was du
  21. Hey nalafej, I think this is originally one of those big gimmicks to bring in local people to see the minor league ball club. I paid 4 dollars for nice standing room only "seats" last summer and heard about this bbq. It turns out of course once you get there you need to pay one lump sum to get food at the bbq. Not too surprised they're keeping this for Wilco. An interesting thing about LeLachuer Park is this. Way back in September when I started grad classes at UMass Lowell, the first night we had the windows open and you could hear the ball players names being read over the PA which must'
  22. Hey Everyone, Yeah, I popped in my DVD and now there was wording after you click on Bonus Material. Than it brought me to Roadcase. I signed up real quick. Got an email. Confirmed my subscription. Than dropped down Ashes Bonus Content and than the DC show. So after 2 minutes I realized that those 2 white wordings Ashes and DC were actually hyperlinks which began downloading as soon as I clicked them. Hope this helps, Kristofor PS So awesome! Can't wait to listen to these!
  23. Hello Everyone, Well, I only saw the option for the Ashes Bonus content when I went to signup on the roadcase page. It said it was the 20 songs from the DVD. No mention of DC show. I didn't sign up though because I'm already a member(plus I only have 1 working email address) for the Roadcase section and I expect to see the DC show on the drop down menu along with AGIB extras, Sunken Treasure DVD extras, etc. I'll just wait until the link works through the DVD. Do we know which show it is yet? Kristofor
