So does anyone have any ideas or suspicions about what songs on this album will get the Please Be Patient With Me and Leave Me Like You Found Me treatment in concert? I can't think of any. I think everything has a good shot of being played and rotated. I am interested to see how they pull off Deeper Down live. I guess for me the three songs I can't wait to hear live or on a boot that hopefully surfaces over the next month: Bull Black Nova, Everlasting, Deeper Down. It'll be interesting to see how far apart they keep Spiders and Bull Black Nova from each other in the sets. Or maybe not at all

Wow! I'll admit at first listen in my room with the sound not too loud, I was a bit let down. In fact, the song that I loved the first time around was Solitaire. I didn't get to appreciate Bull Black Nova on first listen. But than I got into my car at 2a.m. and drove around. That's when this album really hit me. I know for me Deeper Down was really a WTF moment. Where most bands, imo, would put this near the end of a record, Wilco puts it 2nd. But I've listened to this song the 2nd most out of all the others. I love the lyrics and music. I can't wait to read the lyrics. Some of the lyric

Thanks to Luke, Conor, and Mike!!! If anyone would like this in the next 10 minutes before I take this to my car and drive around with it. Email me at kgeorgeou@comcast.net Kristofor

kgeorgeou@comcast.net I just finished putting together a 15 slide Power Point presentation and am ready for Grad School to finish. This is so amazingly perfect now. Wow. Extremely Surprised! I'll keep trying on the net. If I find I'll forward my PM to someone else. Kristofor PS Here We Go !!! PPS No more talk about Jay Bennett and album covers for at least 2 weeks. lol.

Please Be Patient With Me sounds like a good mantra at this church. I was thinking of how many people I peddled Wilco to in the past. One such friend called me a Wilco Peddler. LOL. 7 people. 1 liked them but didn't follow through or something like that. Although he did go see them once. But all 7 have seen Wilco and came away blown away. But yeah at least half of them have gone to that place where they seek all Wilco music and do that on their own and don't have me make them live cds or album mixes. It's nice to be able to share this band with people close to me. Kristofor PS Yea

I saw Elvis Costello solo when he toured with Bob Dylan 2 years ago. It's safe to say that Elvis Costello stole the show in my eyes and ears.

Lyrics to You Are My Face.
-
Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate. Lone Starr: What's that make us? Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become. I always think of this when I hear that line in You Are My Face! Lol.

RE: Wilco (The Album) Maybe Wilco's new album is buried under a giant W? Look, why don't we just start digging for it?

Nice Cover! There seems to be a recent trend with having animals on the covers. MA 2: that cat AGIB: an egg presumably from a chicken SBS: a flock of birds W(TA): a camel Does anyone fear a lawsuit in 8 years where all these animals come together to sue for royalties? We'd like to call to the stand the creepy Summerteeth guy? These Marina Towers don't talk. Kristofor PS Who's hand is that on Being There ?

Pitchfork Media's reaction to the new record

Ari Gold is the first thing that popped into my mind when One Wing and Speed Racer talked about someone on their cell phone. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is the first thing that that popped into Ray Stantz' mind when thinking about the last thing that could hurt NYC. Kristofor -

Pitchfork Media's reaction to the new record

(Maybe Jim actually took my advice.) Wow, talk about being delusional. This is one of the first Pitchfork reviews I've read in full. This guy sounds like he seriously thinks that musicians actually take what he says into thought on their next album. He really seems like he thinks he's as powerful on a level as a Fox News or CNN. Pitchfork Media's reaction to the new record

I used to be a movie snob somewhat. I went through a period where I hated everything that I saw. About 3 years or so ago, I lightened up. I tend to avoid any movie reviews nowadays. I've spent enough time on this planet to know what I should tend to see and what I should run away from (miley cyrus). Music is a bit of a different thing altogether. I tend to rely on friends and friends of friends to hear about new bands or older artists I may have missed while bingeing on The Clash. Yeah, some of those friends may be influenced by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and whatever publication shapes minds -
Speed Racer! I think when I hear that song hopefully this summer, I'll laugh thinking of these new lyrics. Kristofor

I couldn't find any of those funny Naked Gun (Dodger game umpired by Frank Drebin) mailman/dog and Jewish/Palestinian shaking hands/hugging pictures. Kristofor Edit: Guys if you're out there leak the album. So we can argue about that. -
Hey, I myself like Sir Stewart and Speed Racer have driven like a madman to this song. I don't know what it is about it, but I'm guessing if my car flips over and the rescue team comes over the song will still be in the awesome guitar solo part. I also noticed someone saying that their favorite versions are from 12/6 and 12/7 of 2002. I haven't heard those yet, but if H

Hey All, Well, I feel bad for Jay Bennett. I've read about his recent health issues. But this lawsuit doesn't make much sense. I know from being an extra in 2 motion pictures (in order to be paid you need sign an agreement form to provide your services to be shown even as a background extra) and doing some college films that getting/obtaining permission is something I'm pretty sure Sam Jones and Trixiefilms got from Jay Bennett. I mean he was being filmed for a documentary. Otherwise, if this was an issue back than we probably wouldn't have seen IATTBYH. Furthermore, this seems like an obvio

Onan, Your post made me laugh. It also gave me an idea. A Scavenger Hunt for the new Wilco record. It sounds silly, but if it were to be done in the big cities or even in smaller college towns it'd get word out from us the fans that a new Wilco album is about to come out. I'd even say that there'd be some sort of fee to play to be donated to a charity of choice. It'd be fun and a nice way to experience your city/town with fellow Wilco fans. Though I don't think viral marketing and Wilco go together, I think it'd be a nice idea...maybe obnoxious but it's better than having it leak onto your

Thanks Preferred B. Kristofor PS Not that it matters now, but does anyone recall the blog site? If someone remembers, maybe we should check that every so often.

Hey All, Quick question that popped into my head when thinking about a leak. Do any of you recall there being a 3 song sample going around for Sky Blue Sky before the leak? Sorry, if this was mentioned. I remember having 3 songs to play from the album for awhile before anything leaked officially through Wilcoworld.net. I think it was Either Way, You Are My Face, and Walken. Kristofor PS It may have been from a radio station most likely.

LOL. I was coming here to see if there was any new news on the board. A lot of this talk reminds me of another type of phenomena: trying to get someone to watch a particular show you like and they won't do it at all. The same can be said for any band you can pull out of your head. But anyways, I have friends of mine who love Seinfeld religiously and they will not watch Curb Your Enthusiasm even if I lent them a DVD for over a year. Not sure if it's because they didn't feel like they discovered it so they tend to avoid it. Another friend refuses to watch Mr. Show even though he likes similar

Wow, I come on here for the first time today and the first place I clicked I noticed an old post of mine being used to help out some folks out with the bonus downloads. I hope people are lucky with them. Thanks, Kristofor

Hey Zebra, I'm pretty sure I"ve seen Pat play acoustic guitar during Muzzle Of Bees from behind his keys. Kristofor
