  1. Hey VCers, The Tweedy Northampton show tix went on sale just as I suspected at midnight. The double letters appear to be gone and so are most of rows A-K. I got two aisle seats in Row L. Hopefully you guys luck out by checking this shit out tonight!! Thanks, Kristofor
  2. Hey, I also met Jeff after the Calvin show. I am now looking at the photo on my wall. I laugh every time I look at the (what must be the backstage) door in the picture. It looks like it has a DHARMA Logo (for you Lost fans out there). So I always chuckle that Jeff Tweedy is somehow tied into Lost because of that door and because there's a disembodied arm holding an umbrella to cover him from the rain. I think it was Tony Margherita's arm. Plus, my friend pointed out that Tweedy reminds him of the Wizard in Wizard of Oz and at the time Lost introduced Henry Gale who later turned out to be Ben
  3. Hey Three Dollars, Sorry about that. Hmm. I'm pretty sure someone on here was the guy who yelled out Gun during that Tweedy solo show in 2005. Oh well. Maybe i'll see you in March. Not that I have any idea who you are. But enjoy the show! Kristofor
  4. Hey Three Dollars, Were you the guy that yelled out Gun during the show?! If so I think you sat to the left of me. Kristofor
  5. Hey All, The question I pose - is it better to wait for the public onsale for the Calvin? I love buying tix through them since you can choose your seats. I remember getting on at 12am midnight when they were supposed to go onsale at 10am or 12noon back in 2005 and got 2 seats 1st row dead center. Somehow this is a common occurrence from what I hear. Anyways, I am very excited that there's a Tweedy solo show to look forward to. I was thinking about that when I went to Wilco/Neil Young last month. I sensed there'd be solo shows to hold us over until the record comes out. Thanks, Kristofor
  6. Well, it's good that she didn't break off something else. Kristofor
  7. Hey Everyone, I was looking up soundtracks on iTunes and noticed that there was a soundtrack for He's Just Not That Into You. Somehow that title doesn't sound right when spoke out loud. Anyways, I noticed Wilco's I Must Be High was on the soundtrack. I was surprised considering all the other tracks they could have taken for this romantic comedy. Also on the soundtrack is My Morning Jacket's I'm Amazed, Talking Head's This Must Be The Place, The Black Crowes' By Your Side, R.E.M.'s Supernatural Superserious, The Cure's Friday I'm In Love, and Keane's Somewhere Only We Know amongst others.
  8. One Wing. What's that political line about the government is like a bird it only works when both wings are healthy. If one wing gets too weak or strong it will fly in circles and eventually crash. Something like that. I heard it's about that bird nicknamed One Wing after living with one wing and still flying around. But I do like listening to the song now with that political line in my head. It gives the song some more depth. Also, it's weird that this and Impossible Germany have a similar guitar solo at the end. I always thought of Impossible Germany of a song about communication
  9. Yeah, I am pretty excited too. I was at home looking for some Twitter updates since I was bored and kind of run down. I don't know when to expect reviews for this show to roll in on VC. Not sure how many people on here are from Nova Scotia. I found this guy's page that has a pic of the stage setup. http://twitpic.com/p2oa Sorry twitter dude. Thank google. Anyways, I think the most exciting thing for me is to obviously finally get to see Neil Young on what is being heralded as a real return to form type of show. Close second is that Wilco is opening the show in Worcester, MA. Now I read
  10. Hey Everyone Again, Wow. I really really like the song on the 25th a lot more now that I have listened to the song and have kind of understood the lyrics while reading them. I picture the song set with the Spanish Conquistadors. Sounds crazy, but the sound and lyrics provoke images of The Fountain. Although, of course the song can obviously be set in modern times. Anyways, it is quite brilliant. What a hook and the instrumentation is awesome. Can't wait to hear this with the band plugged in. Hopefully, some more of you out there can shed light on this song's lyrics. I tried my best and it
  11. Hey Everyone, I noticed someone posted a lyric request. I don't usually like doing these things especially considering these songs have only been played once. Case in point : I don't know if anyone noticed or bothered to post it but the Sunny Feeling lyrics on the 08-04 show are different in the 2nd verse. I'm not sure if Jeff forgot them and just made them up which is what it sounds like. He kind of rushes through the 2nd verse after the 1st chorus. Anyways, the new song on October 26th I really love and tried to decipher the lyrics. I would like any additional help you can offer in this
  12. Hey Everyone, I love Wilco The Song. I finally remembered what it reminded me of. The Cure's Never Enough. Especially the music and playfulness of the song. The Greatest Hits version more than the one off Mixed Up. Anyone else think of this song ? Otherwise, very glad that they did it today in WI. Thanks, Kristofor
  13. Hey Analogman and hilliard, Thanks guys. Kristofor
  14. Hey Everyone, Here is the Youtube link for "You And I". Jeff Tweedy played this on September 3 of this year in Spain I believe. I am not sure if this was ever on Dime or anywhere for that matter. The above link is the only part of the song I have heard. The Tweedy Sept 2008 dates are not listed on Wilcobase, so it's tough to track down the show. Unless you have the passion to do so. I really love all of the new songs we've been treated to. The song on the 26th is amazing. The John Lennon comparison is spot on. The song on the 25th definitely reminds me of The Animals and t
  15. Hey Everyone, How about having it be in Hawaii in February. That way they will have played in that state. Just an idea but I think it'd be pretty awesome. They could totally do it. Plus, not sure how many Wilco fans currently live in Hawaii anyways. This would obviously bring us there. Thanks, Kristofor
  16. Hey Everyone, I just got 2 GA Floor tix. Pretty expensive but I will shut my mouth since this is really a double bill in my mind. I assume the $90 tickets are loge or balcony. Than there were some for $230(?) that maybe were the first few rows of loge I hope. The $50 tix actually comes with an AM/FM radio that you attach to your car and you can listen to the show in their garage. Thanks, Kristofor
  17. Hey The Maker, He was actually referring to the yet to be released This Side Of The Truth. Which I was an extra in and Ricky Gervais directed and starred in. No release date has been set. But yeah it is too bad that Ghost Town didn't do that well. I think it makes for a really great rental. Thanks, Kristofor
  18. The title pretty much sums it up. I was shocked to hear the opening riff of this song in an important scene towards the end of the film. It probably is on for 1.5 minutes. Overall, great film. Ricky Gervais is amazing in it. I actually got to speak to/meet Ricky Gervais this past April in Lowell, MA when he was directing and acting in This Side Of The Truth. I played a background extra/passer by. I told him "good luck with the film." His quick reply, "Thanks, it'll go straight to DVD anyways ! " Thanks, Kristofor
  19. Hey Everyone, Well, on Wednesday September 10 it is Official. Wilco is in fact opening for Neil Young in Worcester, MA. Presale is Tuesday September 23. Public onsale is Thursday September 25. News courtesy of the Wilcoworld.net Check it out ! http://wilcoworld.net/tours/index.php Thanks, Kristofor
  20. Hey, I tried calling the DCU Center this morning and asked about Neil Young. The woman said "if you don't see it listed on our website than it is not confirmed yet. Thanks, goodbye." Yeah. So I guess asking about Wilco at that point was not going to happen. For me my bet is to wait it out. MSG tix obviously should not be hard to get rid of if a Worcester show is announced. It's interesting that the MSG presale is one week before the Philadelphia presale. Considering that the Philadelphia show happens to be 3 nights before MSG. Anways, December is really a long way off. Thank you, C
  21. Hey All, Yeah, I was going to post that it was listed on Everest's myspace page. But since it is not on Wilcoworld, I am second guessing Livedaily's info. I thought that maybe with Labor Day the page wasn't updated, but it says that the tour page was updated on Sept 2nd and has yet to show Worcester. The official word I hope will come soon. Maybe even this week. In weird and pessimistic news, I looked up Neil Young tour dates and came across a couple of online ticket agencies listing Neil Young and only him for Worcester, MA. I don't know. Maybe Wilco is in the witness protection progr
  22. http://www.livedaily.com/news/14814.html Hey Everyone, Well I was waiting for Neil Young and Wilco to add a show in the Boston area. It's going to be at the DCU Center (formerly the Worcester Centrum) on Sat December 13. Yuck Very shitty venue. At least they'll be here. I think. It still says that Wilco are not playing the Dec. 9th show in Chicago. And playing everything else from Nov. 30th onwards. In fact looking at the new tour schedule, it looks like the Worcester date is the only new Neil Young and Wilco show. Hmm. Hopefully more to come. Thanks, Kristofor PS I rea

  24. Hey, I am going to see this show with 2 of my friends. They are sitting together. My other friend is backing out due to work/etc. So I have one ticket available in section Section 4 Row F. Which means you'll be sitting next to me. I am a 29 year old male who likes Wilco. I don't drink so I won't be that guy who ruins it for everyone. My friends are around the same age. We're good people. So unfortunately we can't pick anyone up since we're coming from Southern NH. And we have a tight time frame as is. Unless, you are along our path of Rt. 3, 495, or the Mass Pike. Ultimately, we'd
  25. I'll be there in Section 4 Row F. About 20 rows back on Pat/John/Jeff's side. Pretty close to being dead center. My 2 friends are on Nels' side in Section 3 row L. 10 rows back. I can't wait! I'm also pretty excited to watch them tonight from my computer. Thanks, Kristofor
