  1. I'll just add that Jay Bennett fans will want to see this film. It's an homage to a beautiful, creative man, beautifully and creatively done.
  2. This film definitely hit me personally. It has hung with me for days, and drifted inside my dreams. We love you, Jay.
  3. Scott, I got teary-eyed reading that, and you are exactly who this film is made for. Help with the kickstarter if you can. I can't wait for you to see it.
  4. Ok, now I'm just plain jealous! What an amazing first Wilco concert! I hope somewhere you've got a slice of deli tray salami, pressed in a book or something.

  6. I love LeRoy. He was a terrific part of the band.
  7. See the trailer at the link I've provided.
  8. What a great story! You need to see this film. My reviewer skills don't begin to do it justice. It has such heart!
  9. Hi all, I'm not one to give a recommendation easily. But every now and then, something makes you feel such joy that you want to sing it to the heavens. This is one of those. If you follow the band very closely at all, you may be aware of a film being created by accomplished filmmaker Gorman Bechard, called "Where Are You, Jay Bennett?" The film's title is a poignant reference to friends who waited for Bennett in a park, with this sign, at a time when his faulty pain patch had already killed him, back in his apartment. His friends were happily impatient, not knowing he'd never again be wi
  10. I think Carol Y. will be at the show tonight too! And wow, Aaron Lee Tasjen for an opener!
  11. This festival looks absolutely magical! Keep the pictures coming, and have a blast!
  12. My baby sister has decided she wants to go to her first Wilco concert, but thought she could wait a bit to buy tickets. She didn't realize that the tickets are all gone by about 10:05 a.m. on the morning they go on sale! So if anybody out there has extras, please shoot me a pm. EDIT: Thanks folks, tickets have been secured!
  13. Hi Gang! Can you believe we are in (or almost in) the year 2020?!?! Where are our flying cars we were promised? But anyway, I was thinking to myself that a fresh new year like this demands a snappy motto. So here's your task: tell me your motto for 2020...but it must be a line from a Wilco song. C'mon, entertain me in this sparkly new year! Let's try to be on the optimistic side, even if the world has so much ugly. We can make it better. Ok, what's your motto for 2020?
  14. Same here. Stop making me blush. This is the greatest gang of people; always has been!
  15. I love all of you, and this band that inspires us so much. Have a beautiful holiday, and may we all see a more peaceful, progressive 2020 (which date still sounds impossibly far in the future! So weird.) Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever you celebrate. wherever you are. Let's make a better future for ourselves. Let's not. settle.
  16. That'll be a great one. Jealous! Let's hear your reviews!
  17. Omigosh I've had a busy and exhausting day, and I check in and you guys are on fire!!! More opinion once I've slept. Wow you are a creative bunch! And may I just add this silly oldie that so many love... Grandma Got Run Over by a Bull Black Nova
  18. These are great! Getting carried away in a manger sounds very rude I think. I mean, get a room! Also I think all "Misunderstood" needs is the word Mistletoe. Doesn't that have the ring of a sad holiday classic? Like Blue Christmas. "Misunderstood Mistletoe" A song about a night that went so wrong and the tiny sprig behind it all
