I am sitting here laughing with tears in my eyes. You guys are brilliant! Somebody do something with Misunderstood. I think it would involve mistletoe.

Hello All, We are living at such a clip, in such serious impeachy times, and I was thinking we still need to play. Seriousness calls for Silliness to keep its balance. With that in mind, may I present a new Via Chicago game! I'll call it, WILCOFIED HOLIDAY TUNES Here's how it works. You take a Wilco song title, and using slight wording changes, you convert it into a holiday classic! I'm sure you all remember the warm nostalgia of "Heavy Metal Dreidel", a song about innocence! Or these chestnuts: "Box Full of Glitter" A song about Holiday crafts "Far, Far Away in a Manger" The story of

My dear Lotti, celery also makes a wonderful crudite! But beware its stringiness. A dip will help.

I hope this is being a beautiful day out there for everyone celebrating Thanksgiving! Despite the crazy times we live in, it is still just such a gift to be alive in November, 2019. Hug your family and friends, even the irritating ones. Even they "bring something to the table". Maybe only napkins, but something. And if you haven't yet listened to Arlo Guthrie's Thanksgiving-traditional "Alice's Restaurant"at a goodly volume, well what are you waiting for?!! And after today...leftovers and a long weekend. Cheers!

Oh Lotti, I bid you and Anders and Olsen the spirit of this American holiday! Be grateful and eat and drink excessively, and then relax and unzip the tight pants (but nothing more!) and then, welfare to you!

So I'm trying to cut up some carrot sticks for crudites for Thanksgiving, and I'm being really careful and cutting them up neatly, all the same size. They were very long carrots so I was cutting them in thirds. Our conversation started out pleasantly enough: Me: See, Jeff, I'm peeling these carrots and then... Jeff (at far higher volume than was probably necessary) "...then you cut it in half!" Me: No Jeff, these need to be in thirds. Jeff, loud and insistent: "THEN YOU CUT IT IN HALF!" I just ignored him but honestly he kept carping about it for like 3 minutes! I cut them in thirds. Don

That"s adorable. He's just trying to understand his daughter's fascination with them. I'm sure he'll go on questioning musicians until he finds the right ones.

It's ok. A couple of late-activating bots weighing in. Any new bots have been shut down but we may still have a few old ones activate. At least these were amusing.

You'll have to tell me how these are...I know a bunch of these people, too!

Have fun, Gary!

Yes! That book covers so much ground that I can't see a single movie managing to encompass the entire story. Great book!

This sounds like exactly the sort of biography I love!

Nor did it look like me at any point in my life! I have never had a beard, for instance.

Folks, so you know, your moderating staff is at work on an upgrade, and very soon these strange glitches will be gone. Hang in there. -
At Mavis Staples' birthday bash in L.A. last May, Trombone Shorty played, and Mavis could hardly contain her delight. She kept repeating, "Imma get ME a horn!" It was pretty adorable.

You are obviously a practiced member of the board! Many have used this same strategy to some advantage. (The endorphins are always nice.)

Oh, Vince, you don't know the half of it. Remember to say thank you to your moderators, who work only for the joy of serving the Wilco fan community. And we will continue with our bot-slaying!

Wasn't that a great movie?!

That sounded pretty great!
