  1. This was also on the film that came with the deluxe addition of No Line on the Horizon. This is a dramatically different version with updated/different lyrics. Here's a full stream if you're interested. http://incontention.com/?p=18696
  2. anthonyc007 is correct with the song titles. Just so you know, none of these songs are on the discography because they have never been officially released.
  3. Hey Kevan, did you go to the game? If you're still looking for a good game, DPU (7-2) plays @ Thomas Moore (10-0) on Saturday in the first round of the DIII playoffs. I'm seriously considering making a road trip. That's only 3 hours from my house. http://www.depauw.edu/ath/news.asp?id=24402 Unfortunately, DPU lost the big Monon Bell game to Wabash (9-1) on Saturday. 32-19 http://www.depauw.edu/ath/news.asp?ID=24397
  4. I wish I was going to the Monon Bell game this weekend. I'm building with Habitat for Humanity instead. The DPU Tigers won last year, spoiling Wabash's undefeated season and evening the all-time series at 53-53-9 and extended their lead in games played for possession of the Monon Bell to 37-34-6. It's a great rivalry. The 100th game was my freshman year. There was even a story in Sports Illustrated about it. http://depauw.edu/ath/football/monon/index.asp For your viewing pleasure, the Ballad of the Monon Bell. Yes, it's hocky, but it's fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_v80P_f9d
  5. I love facts like this. The 1933 DePauw Tigers finished the season 7-0-0. The Tigers outscored their opponents 136-0, making them unbeaten, untied, and un-scored-upon. (Texas A&M also did this in 1917 and 1919)
  6. Went to my first (and possibly only) game of the season on Saturday. Saw the DePauw Tigers (7-1) beat the Austin College Kangaroos (4-3) 34-23. DePauw improved to 7-1, clinched a share of the SCAC title and earn its first Division III playoff appearance in school history. Anyone know where the sites are of the first round of the playoffs? Are these determined in advance? Might try to go to the playoff game if its in reasonable driving distance from central Indiana. Seeing the game made me wish I had tickets to next week's 116th Monon Bell game against Wabash.

  8. It's the very last entry. Scroll all the way tot he bottom to "Wilco Related tracks" the 7 Worlds Collide sessions/tracks are listed together as an album, not individual tracks, because so many members of Wilco had parts in lots of songs, not just the two you specifically mentioned.
  9. I'd say yes and maybe. Thanks for the link!
  10. "One Down" by Ben Folds. It's about him trying to get out of his songwriting/publishing contract. How about Barry Manilow's "I write the songs"?
  11. Unreleased "Diappearing Act" that'll be on the Unforgettable Fire remaster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhUvtsjGo6w&feature=player_embedded
  12. Well, If I was doing this, I would start with Tony Margherita Management. http://tmmchi.com/ You'll probably eventually need to contact Bug Music, http://www.bugmusic.com/, which I believe publishes Tweedy's music under his publishing company, "Words Ampersand Music." (BMI) http://www.bugmusic.com/viewclient.aspx?IM=23503 Or maybe Broadcast Music, Inc. http://www.bmi.com/ I'm not really sure how the industry works. Good luck!
  13. Full album now streaming http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113748932
  14. I read that as "The Wallflowers." Talk about confused, and it's not even Monday.
  15. I was too. It was so uncomfortably funny! And how great was it that Jim was the one that screwed up? I feel that Jim and Micheal will either get closer or come to blows before the end of the season. The show is still funny, but I give it one more season.
  16. DePauw's conference, SCAC, is all spread out across the country. Alabama, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Colorado, Arkansas, and Georgia. Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, isn't too far from you. You can't beat the DePauw/Wabash game on 11/14! It's about 2 1/2 hours from you. Other colleges near you include Hanover College in Hanover Indiana, Earlham in Richmond Indiana, and The College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. You've got some great schools in Ohio, like Antioch, Denison, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan, Otterbein, Ashland and Wooster. None super close. Check out the North Coast Ath
  17. Hell yeah! DIII sports are great. Relaxed atmosphere, real student athletes, tradition, no corporate aftertaste. I live in a Big Ten town and I'd much rather see a DIII football game. I'm a grad of DePauw (class of '97). Nothing beats a cool fall Saturday at Blackstock stadium. Tucked in the rolling hills of Greencastle Indiana, with the soccer fields on one side and a historic cemetery on the other! The 119 year history of the Monon Bell game (DePauw vs. Wabash0 is as good a rivalry as any DI rivalry. I’m taking the family to see a game on 11/7. We'll park for free, walk through campus
  18. Here's a track that some fans are wondering why it wasn't included. It's an alternate vocal take on Love Comes Tumbling, with completely different lyrics. It's from an Australian single. Would have been nice to have this included. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNzlCbh3FtY
  19. Dug some stuff up. Here's the Dub version of Wire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR6wpJ2sqdk
  20. Here's the final official track listing. It's not the same as what I posted earlier.
  21. I've never heard of an officially released version. Typo noted and fixed. Thanks.
  22. Not scheduled for release until Oct. 6th. Amazon has a preview. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P3JH3Q/ref=dm_mu_dp_trk8?ie=UTF8&qid=1253819456&sr=1-1 You can hear the full song on imeem. Jeff Talking about the recording.
