  9. Reading "Anatomy of a Song" it's pretty much a distilled and edited compilation of the WSJ columns.
  10. Just watched a series called 3% on Netflix. It was pretty good, but if you can't tolerate subtitles don't bother. It's from Brazil and in Portuguese. Basic story is that when you turn 20 in the post modern world you go through a process that o determine if you deserve/earn the right to a better life. Only 3% of those who start the process make it to the better life. Saw it and generally liked it. Definitely leaves room for more seasons as this season covered from Elizabeth's marriage to the mid-Late 50's.
  11. I'm seeing Red Fang in two weeks. Saw them open for Mastodon a few years ago and liked RF much more than Mastodon.
  12. I've kind of grown weary of live shows and have only seen one this year, so the best, worst and most average show for me was Lydia Loveless at the Accord (formerly the High Dive in Champaign, U.K.)
  13. I really like all of the first six, but if I were to just pull one or two out I would start in the middle with Masters and Vol 4. All of them are good, but these are the ones I go to.
  14. That's awesome. My wife is not a huge music fan, so I don't think I could get away with a purchase like that. Hamilton tickets yes, Black Sabbath VIP, no. Regardless Im sure its a memory that will last forever.
  15. I was pleasantly surprised on how good all of these albums are. Sure I missed out on them for 40+ years, but it's now something new for me and the 70's are alive again...somewhat.
  16. T Rex both Electric Warrior and Slider I had also never heard the first six Sabbath albums till two years ago. Mostly what I knew was Sold our Soul...
  17. Not in this forum, but it was used fairly regularly out in the rest of the world.
  18. Ok I've thought about it and realized that there was not a lot that excited me this year, so in no particular order.,, Lucinda Williams - Ghosts of Highway 20 DBT - American Band Sturgill Simpson - A Sailors Guide to Earth Dinosaur Jr - Give a Glimpse of What You're Not Margo Price - Midwest Farmers Daughter Brandy Clark - Big Day in a Small Town Lydia Loveless - Real Can't think of much else I've listened to more than two or three times. Bruce Live - all three Meadowlands shows. Do these count? Most of what I bought this year was older or re-issued. So not a lot of new. Heck I just
  19. Just saw this. She was only 60, that's still young in my book.
  20. Do we pray for his wife to be a widow and his children to become orphans? I heard that one a lot during the last eight years.
  21. Pence...unprecedented power? Dare I mention that just Eight years ago dirty Dick was VP and seemed to pretty much run everything.
