I'll be the first to say it, i'm not that excited about this. It is a cool idea to create buzz though, i'll wait for the pig and see if i dig it.

There's not really any place for that sort of check, it was way to high and leaving your feet is not called for. The purpose of a check is for the man to lose the puck, great clean checks are a great part of the game but that was a bit overkill.

Awesome Yankee, thanks for the help. Right now i'm living in Marquette Michigan, it's in the UP, I grew up here and am going to NMU. It's a college of about 10k students, the town is about 30k when it's in session 23k some during the summer. There is NOTHING to do here except bars, so yea i'll probably like it, however Chicago is definitely my city of dreams. but if I get a job offer down there in Madison i'm not gonna shake a stick at it.

Some of them aren't too serious, but it always seems that the NHL never lets their people heal to 100% and they play injured all year, which in turn affects stats.

Well I'm graduating in December and am looking to pursue a job in Madison, WI. The pay is right, and it's definitely a bigger city with more opportunities then where I am now but still somewhat close to "Home". If their are any of you that could inform me as to the City's advantages/disadvantages, costs, etc etc. Thanks in Advance.

I don't know about your ideas on the NHL but i'm pretty sure you could do a better job then Bettman. I mean i'm all for expansion of the NHL but the smaller market southern teams need to figure something out that works. Just give it time. As for the Red Wings, I have faith man, they didn't really lose anybody from last year I mean other then Schneider replaced with Rafalski. Lang being traded gives a lot of money to play with and if you watched a lot of red wings games, he sucked more often then was stellar. I predict we win the division and end up 3rd or 4th in the conference. which is

The Preseason has begun, injuries are a plenty, and teams(eh, team) are for sale. It looks to be an interesting year in the NHL. I know I'm excited Buffalo is gonna choke, Penguins are gonna win the presidents trophy, and another Norris for my man Lindstrom. Anybody else got predictions? Let the Quest For The Cup begin!!
