  1. I live in my family room but hang out in the basement, I get it now! And Reni hates Lion's Choice, you can have Chicago!
  2. A Les Paul Jr. would fit your needs perfectly, a little pricy and only has one tone but your amp or pedals determines the rest. I can get almost any sound out of my Tele, and when driven that thing rips the paint off the walls, which has lead me to my next puchase, the Casino. A Mex Tele would be a good start. And when you get up a little more money you can change the pups and add a 5 way switch, I can't see how you wouldn't be able to get any tone you wanted. I see Tele players in almost every genre of music out there.
  3. I thought of looking into this, what have your experiences been?
  4. Thank you, and I do believe that it has s/pdif outs. What would this assist in?
  5. I wish there was some good music around these parts we could catch, but all are good acts packed up and moved to Chicago. Have a good trip!
  6. Yeah, that''s a tricky subject. A band I know from an hour outside STL moved to New York and calls them self a NY punk band. Thats kind of hard to take for real when I wouldn't even consider them a St. Louis band. Same goes for Ryan Adams. I do believe if Jeff hadn't grown up where he did, his sound would of not only touched on certain topics but his influences would of been something that a band like Wilco could of never of touched on, let alone Jeff playing music at all. Wilco would of never got where they are today w/out the move to Chicago. Imagine if they suddenly moved to NY and hadn't p
  7. I really hoped and wished this topic would never have come up!.....................It's here, sink or swim.
  8. As of now, or who is actually in the band, your right. But if you look it like Jeff and John are Wilco, were UT, then St. Louis is where it started. If Chuck Berry moved to Nebraska, would St. Louis not be his home? If I were Jeff, I wouldn't play here either!....Why?, I understand. The older fanbase around here that haven't stayed current with the band are for one annoying, and down right rude. I love to to travel, so it's not killing me, just my pocket book. No need for me to act selfishly about this. I just think there is more to it than scheduling conflcts.
  9. Like I said, you wouldn't get it. Not at all what this discussion debates.
  10. I talked to someone from Belleville that night in line, but M Chris, her daughter and I were glued to the fence for Bird's sound check.
  11. Was wondering if anyone has ever done or known of this to work, but would one be able to run a stand alone Fostex 16 track mixer/recorder as a pre amp for multiple mic setups ex.(mic drumset) and run it through an Mbox 2. The Fostex has stereo and mono outs, so can this be done?
  12. Thank you, I don't speak of this much except to those I have had this discussion with, but it is a discussion worth having. There is a lot of bad blood in the STL, I can understand that. I for one can understand reasons for not playing here, and wish one day Jeff would come home. I for one do shell out upwards of a couple grand a year to see Wilco and I've come to accept his thoughts and feelings for choosing to do so. WILCO IS NOT A CHICAGO BAND, and for those with the boo hoo mentality, well I guess you just flat out won't get it. Hell, Wilco can't even play the Bluenote anymore, now what, s
  13. In searching the past few days I came across four tickets at $80.00 a pop(2 Fri and 2 Sat) including shipping and service charges. I had hoped not to do this but in all reality this was not a bad deal, only 30 bucks more than ticketmaster. Would I do it for another show......no, would I do it for myself.....no. Ends up Amy and I got a good deal for what I've seen lately on ebay and other broker sites. I stand completely against this, and would be willing to stand in the cold all day to get a ticket for face, but I wouldn't wan't to put her through that, and in coming in from out of town who kn
  14. I hope not, I couldn't bare to be let down again.
  15. They just did a news special on tv and barely explained it. They said they are really trying to crack down on brokers that use this tool.
  16. Scalping is legal in many states, it's just that software they use to grab hundreds of tickets at one time is the problem.
  17. I'll talk at you after I discuss it w/ the miss. Your 1st in line.
  18. Got only friday. On sale for each day should of happened on seperate days. I might have 2 fridays up for grabs if I can't get a Sat..................Fucking Fuck.
  19. That's sweet for all the brokers...................WTF.
  20. I got to see a Fortunate Son/Comfortably Numb this year, it was pure bliss! Thanks.
  21. A Tweedy sighting in Denver wearing shorts.
